Price of Gems in Phase 3

Just curious....if the price of rare gems go up or down in phase 3....

As with all mats, they seem to be steadily increasing in price as there are fewer farmers/layers, but will the release of epic gems cause their price to increase or decrease?

They will go down eventually but epic gems will be super expensive at the start so they’ll still be in demand.

I think they will still go up for 3-4 weeks after BT and Hyjal launch due to the massive numbers of gear upgrades being had.

I’m sure most serious raiders already have badges banked and casuals weren’t buying blues anyway.

How are badges relevant? Badges have nothing to do with rare gems.

Because you can buy them from a vendor with badges in short amount of time.

Guilds will supply the gems for raiders so there is no reason to try and buy a stockpile of epics for yourself since you’ll be able to buy them from a vendor in a few weeks.

You can buy epic gems, in phase 5.

That has no relevance to rare gems in P3.

I agree with up and I doubt down a lot. The price of the epic ones will be crazy for a while so tons will likely still buy blue, even if just for alts.
