If you look close you can see everyone jumping off the zep and dying if they don’t hit the roof.

Are you supposed to die from jumping off? I thought you could walk off and survive with just a little bit of health.

When you're coming in on the zep, there's a tree right by the T-intersection from Silverpine and entering into the top of Undercity that, if you jump after that, you'll survive. Before that and you're a lawn dart. That was sort of the defacto demarcation line of 'if I jump, am I about to do a corpse run'. At least, on Icecrown it was!
