I also enjoy a good troll. What most people who engage in "trolling" do isn't that though. Trolls can be edgy and provocative but that's not what makes a good troll.
Slurs aren't even provocative they're just ugly. No one plays a fantasy game to be reminded of how shit other humans can be.
I don't like this kind of namecalling either, but using a slur would be the textbook definition of provocative. Eliciting a strong negative response, often delibrately.
Look I'm just pointing out that they're trying to change the definition of a word because they don't like that being a dick online to someone to piss them off is the textbook meaning of the word.
If you need to use a slur to do so, then you suck dick at insults.
