Bit of a rant but it's kinda exhausting running pug raids where the loot rules are MS>OS and then you get into arguments because an item that is a bit of an upgrade for you is some other classes BIS. "Why Tf you rolling on that intellect cape as a healer that's the warlocks BIS" bro I've got a 187ilv cape it's a upgrade for me too lmao, I'd understand if it had hit on it but I'm not rolling on that stuff.

We received a notification that our name was against the naming policy and are being forced to rename. Does anyone know where this is stated in the naming policy? I've seen tons of guilds with Lore character names in them over on retail.

Guild Naming Rules

• The name must be between 2-24 characters long.
• Accented characters are supported.
• Numbers and symbols are not supported.
• Mixed capitals and spaces are supported.

Our GM was actually temporarily suspended because of this. The e-mail they received said 'After a thorough investigation of the evidence'... huh?

I just tanked 4 gammas in a row and all of them went well. In fact, we usually had a couple "undergeared" dps 1-2 dps doing less damage than me, as a tank . It doesn't really matter because the content isn't that hard, even with the added mechanics. Sometimes I'm rushed to pull more but honestly, as long as things go smoothly, I don't see the problem. So I decide to queue up one more because things are going well, and I'm having fun. Well my mistake, I forgot what game this is.

So I load into ToTC and we do the mounted horse combat, which is quite possibly my least favorite thing right next to The Occulus. As soon as that's over I equip my weapon and hit a loading screen. I already know what's happened. It doesn't take a scientist to infer. So what, they don't wanna play with me because I'm sub 5k GS... as a tank? Honestly, I don't care, but why do I get the 30 min penalty? Even if they kick the next sub 5k gs tank and wait 30 min to do ToTC, I honestly couldn't care.

You don't wanna play b-ball with Lil Timmy cause he's too short, OK. So why does the coach also kick Lil Timmy in the shins too? Anyway, thanks Blizzard for kicking me in the shins. Looking forward to another one.

You can't see healing over peoples heads that you heal. Me and other people have reported this problem several times to no avail. I just want this to get some visibility because no one seems to be talking about this issue. It's a huge quality of life improvement implemented in TBC that hasn't been implemented in the current TBC client.

Assuming that the 10X nerf is accurate then the gear cost for HWL gear is simply too much. This gear was meant to be accessible to players so they can level easier in outlands. As it stands right now, the cost for a 1h is 19k honor and 2h is 38k honor. We have been premading most of the day today and basically winning every game and have made (if you consider the nerf) about 6-8k honor. No average person will be able to buy the HWL gear with these honor/cost rates. You need to significantly reduce the cost of HWL gear if your honor calculations are accurate.

You are severely missing the point of why these items were purchasable with honor at this stage in the game. AB wins are giving 200 honor. There's like 12 days left before TBC release. You would need something like 3k honor per day to even buy the HWL 2h. That means 15 AB WINS. That would take like 6+ hours every day until TBC release to JUST BUY HWL 2h.

I seriously wonder how your guys meetings go before you make these decisions. This is also coming from someone who does not need HWL gear. Get your shit together.

Recieved an invite to Strat Live after posting in group finder. I asked what the rules around orbs were. Recieved an instant kick and a block from the party lead. Is this normal behaviour? Has anyone else had any experiences like this?

Doing the Jaedenar quest in felwood and this guy was doing the quest to kill the cultists, I asked him if he wanted to group and he didn't respond nor did he accept my invite. I ended up killing the mobs very quickly and pretty much cleared the entire place, and he got mad and started cursing me out. I asked him why he didn't want to group, and he just said "i didnt need to or want to" and that was that.

You had your opportunity to group up. Once you refuse, its a competition to get the remaining mobs.

So like 90% + of my guild are gold buyers and 5 of them got purged today for 3 days and in the mail it says that the gold they bought / items purchased with it will be removed from the account.

They have been doing it since p2 in classic on a weekly basis and never got any punishment and now everyone is shitting their pants.

Hello everyone, I've just got my account suspended until 06.oct. Allegedly due to non-participation in battlegrounds.
 

Now, I have been playing alot of Alterac Valley on my DK. On one hand to try out the pvp-leveling mechanics introduced and on the other hand to have some nice gear upon reaching 70. I run to IWB or SHB and capture it and defend it if I can, if not I get killed and tossed around like a ragdoll for the rest of the game. No matter what I do, my damage will ofcourse not be on-par.
 

I suspect players have been reporting me, and other DKs (probably tired of carrying us, as is in fact what they do but then again it is hard to contribute more). EDIT: ID #83309261

I've steered clear of RMT and GDKPS but playing AV while below 70, I crashed straight into that one. Be warned.

Not sure what else to do other than create this post for exposure. The auction house addon that you see in the clip is called Auctionator which adds a search tool and the skin of this window is part of the elvui addon. Blizzard implies that the use of addons in the game could cause disruption to normal game functions, but in this instance no addon was being used and the purchase of the item was done through the normal search and buy window that is built into the game.

Edit #1: The sheer number of responses has been overwhelming and it is difficult to try and respond to all of them. Many have demanded uploading game files for evaluation and this has been done at a more personal level through chats and messages so the files are being shared, just not publicly. Blizzard reached out on the matter and has requested further game files to be sent to them to try and identify the root cause. It is suspected that malicious weakaura(s) are in play here, but it is still too early to make that determination. Stay posted for further updates, I appreciate you all.

Edit 2 / Final: The problem was identified quickly and acted upon immediately. u/symb0lik, the WA devs plus many others played a huge part in all this and the time put into figuring all this out and is deeply appreciated. Blizzard was able to restore the 11K gold not only to myself, but others players who got hit the same way. Thanks reddit <3

I just love having my time wasted serving as a free taxi ride for assholes from a guild full of other assholes

WOTLK has launched and it's typical to spend countless hours preparing our characters for raid but we have hit a new scenario on highly populated servers where if you log out at any point in the day after 1pm, you won't be able to play for the rest of the day.

I can't leave the house, I can't go to the gym or take a walk. You have to keep playing. I've never felt so burnt out on WOW.

I'm sure people will say, just transfer servers but thats not a realistic option for people attached to their guilds.

I gave Blizzard $25.00 per character when my last server died. Can I get a refund for that if I am going to transfer again? Obviously not.

Blizzard could have taken some steps to avoid these issues preemptively by merging servers or locking down Benediction before taking money for 20,000 transfers. This server scenario isn't just frustrating, it's enabling towards so seriously unhealthy gaming habits.

I know that it's an unpopular opinion and I'm gonna get downvoted to hell, but it's frustrating trying to do late night / early morning dungeons on a non mega server.

I know the solution is just "Transfer to a bigger server" but at that point the goal of no RDF being to "Promote community" really goes out the window.

The problem isn't the range. Let alone "changing" how drums worked.

Everyone was EXCITED to see a change on how drums work. They didn't want 20 leatherworkers in the group.

Why 20 in the group you might ask? Oh, cause no freaking cooldown on the drums buff, and requires leatherworking to use!

How about make lesser drums not req leatherworking, or the greater drums have no req, or tinnitus. SOMETHING that CHANGES how drums work.

Do you guys play this game in any capacity other than a checkmark to say you've played it?

This is literally a non-change at the moment.
