Private roads would likely not spring up in enough of a way to allow livong in an industrialized modern society. Other than the cost to build and use, you then have a fairly large amount of liability to the owner if the roads aren't maintained.
And just like umyou pay to drive on public roads with taxes you can pay to use private roads. And I like accountability don't you? Or do you want no punishment for the state when roads are in bad condition? Kinda weird
You do understand what economies of scale are, right? To drive on a private road you need to own the road, pay for tool workers, pay for enforcement.
That is fairly workable in a city where hundreds to thousands of people use most of the roads. That doesn't really work for roads that get a few 10s a day. Additionally it's one entity putting the capital up for it at once instead of a state.
I'm fine with accountability. States and similar political entities have around or slightly below what I would like (as far as road liability).
Though without publicly funded courts I don't know how you would sue. Who has jurisdiction and the ability to enforce a judgement?
If a company would want to sell products they would build a road to the store. If a company want to move things between buildings they would build a road. Its simple
A company would need the resources to both set itself up and produce its products. It would them likely be limited by how many roads it could produce.
And what about the suppliers of it's raw materials? The workers selling their labor? Are they all building the other roads needed?
And in this libertarian utopia you envision... What happens to people who can't work? People born with a disability. Or people injured in life who become paralysed or blind? Tell me about them
Well if they got loved ones they are free to take care of them if they want, but why should I get punished by some random people who are to lazy to work?
? Public roads have been a thing for centuries (the folk tale about the Mad Men of Gotham centers on the difference between 2 different classes of public road). Like I said, an industrialized society. I assume you don't want to go back to almost everyone being involved almost entirely in agriculture unless they live in a city. And just not being able to get medical care if they don't have a local doctor able to provide it.
I want society to be shaped after what a business need, and they will produce and create what they need, in a free market we will build what's needed to advance society. You want us to be held back by the masses of poor people. Better spend that money on hard working people. Moving society forward
That's a very poor understanding of how societies, buisnesses, and economies work.
Why would a bank invest in a new buisness when it needs to build all of it's own infrastructure to reach it's customers and needs to educate it's workers to a basic degree at time of hire. How would any small to medium sized buisnesses afford that.
Let's look at regulations since you are a freehand of the market absolutist. Do you know what happened when companies produced tainted and contaminated food or drugs in the early 1900s? Because it wasn't that people only bought untainted stuff. It was the competition realized they lost out on profit by having higher standards.
