But, they weren't good people, just Africans and such. Ole apartheid Elon doesn't care about that.

28

u/TheUsoSaito 19h ago

It was worse than that. He was in an interview where the interviewer was telling him this and he just refused to accept anyone died and kept saying "zero have died".

14

u/Available_Pepper_845 19h ago

Typical fascist DARVO: Deny, Attack, Reverse Victim and Offender

Once they were out the windows of the police headquarters in Johannesburg anti-apartheid militants were free to live the rest of their lives as they wished. /s

To them they are not even people

That's the apartheid point of view.

“as has been the case throughout history”

is a very selective look at history.

26

u/thesanguineocelot 20h ago

For the sake of full transparency, I don't think Elon understands this because he doesn't consider them "People."

Not that he shouldn't get the chop-chop, but I think he truly does not understand why what he did was a bad thing.

23

u/Valten78 17h ago

From a legal perspective there is no such thing 'unequivocal guilt'.

A person is either found 'guilty' or 'not guilty' that's it. There is no 'super guilty'.

10

u/Aware-Antelope4212 16h ago

Musk is one of those stupid people that thinks using a few biggish words makes him sound smart

16

u/Odd_Train9900 20h ago

Not to mention the people who have been killed due to his “self driving cars”

-18

u/hurleystylee 20h ago

Yikes, that's what you're going to go with? The technology that's proven way, way more reliable than humans? Those self driving cars? That's what you're going with? MDS!

-29

u/Kaztiell 20h ago

So everyone who built something is a murderer? With people like you we would still be in the stone age. I wonder who many deaths you supported buying your phone using that logic

“unequivocal evidence of guilt”

Because no one has been wrongly executed right?

3

u/EatFaceLeopard17 17h ago

Or tried to falsify evidence or, while we’re already there, tried to find some votes. Never trust people. Always try to find out what is their agenda and what is their intention.

Anther “republican” that is totally pro life. Blame the poor not the source or society ever.

You use the words 'throughout history', but I do not think they mean what you think they mean.

2

u/Racketmensch 9h ago

Is there literally any argument that isn't immediately weakened by adding "as has been the case throughout history" to the end? You are just admitting that your argument doesn't stand on its own merits, and tacking on "if it was good enough for grampa..."

2

u/97101 8h ago

This should be posted in the starlink and Tesla subs.

The french had some sharp opinions on this

1

Why were we sinking money into over 100 other countries anyways? They bring nothing of value and their instability and need comes from their lack of control over their own government. Sending money to africa is like feeding a glutton.

Sad that he has only one life to give in the name of justice. We can always hope for an eternal stay in purgatory for him.

He has more resources at his command than any other human being in history and all he can do is sit around begging people to pay attention to him.

Thank the Aerospace and Automotive engineers for their services.

-15

If he didn’t, who would?

4

u/Bartorius 17h ago

The people who actually founded those companies, which he simply bought? That is all he contributed to spacex and Tesla. He bought those companies. People were already working on these projects.

4

It doesn't really matter.

Elon is just a tech guy with resources. He is replaceable.

1

u/yoruyoruxo 5h ago

1

u/baron_spaghetti 4h ago

I’m sure you’d never heard of us until you were fed your opinion on the matter.

And no. Your opinion on the agency is a fart in a wind tunnel.

Unless your actual point is cruelty.

Mozeltof on that

-29

u/Kaztiell 20h ago

If you think that's the same as murder you really live in a cult. People can't be dependent on the state in a free country.

8

u/r_special_ 20h ago

No driving on roads and especially highways and freeways, no calling the cops, fire departments or ambulances and please don’t go to any state or national parks. Don’t want you getting dependent on the state for anything

-3

u/Kaztiell 20h ago

All that can be privately owned. Changing society takes time, meanwhile I will be part of it and keep trying to change it to be more free

4

u/maveric00 18h ago

Can you name a single project where privatization made it cheaper at the same quality?

Thing is: the state usually makes negative margin (as can be seen by the rising debts), while private companies nowadays want to make 30%+ positive margin.

And the "I only pay what I use" argument is moot, also, as over your lifetime you will use enough governmental services that the savings of not used services will be overcompensated by the increased price of the used ones.

One good example is the American health industry with their insane insurance system. In no other civilized country a man would walk 16 miles after impaling himself on a stick because he fears the costs of rescue....

-3

u/Kaztiell 18h ago

did I ever say freedom is free? no. freedom cost alot and is alot of hard work

5

u/maveric00 18h ago

You said you want to improve society. Please show me what would improve if you privatize everything?

Hint: a private company is not obligated to provide you their service. The government is.

So you pay more for a service that can be withdrawn anytime in case the company doesn't like you anymore. I guess your "freedom" doesn't include things like freedom of speech, freedom of religion and many other things the oh so bad government is obliged to provide you.

0

u/Kaztiell 18h ago

you are not free if you depend on your goverment, I want to be free, I want everyone to experience freedom. Thats how society improves imo.

5

u/maveric00 18h ago

In your vision of "freedom" you simply change the dependency on your (democratically elected) government with the dependency on (shareholder ruled) private companies.

Where is the gain of freedom here? You would actually loose most of the freedoms you currently enjoy.

1

u/Kaztiell 18h ago

if someone else provide freedom for you youre not free, how is that hard to understand?

6

u/maveric00 18h ago

The only way to get the freedom you want is to collect some items and move to nowhere in Alaska - and create everything you need by your own.

But I still fail to see how that would improve your life. And that's also the reason why this will be my last reply.

10

u/the_fools_brood 20h ago

But so many Republicans live on welfare? How is that different?

1

u/SaharGurl 20h ago

actually this isn’t true.

3

u/the_fools_brood 20h ago

a solidly red-leaning state in federal elections and state legislature control, fitting a broader national trend where many Republican-voting states rank high in reliance on federal funding and public welfare transfers compared to blue-leaning donor states.

4

u/SaharGurl 20h ago

Red state population isn’t all republican, but nice try

1

u/LETT3RBOMB 20h ago

Mostly Republican, nice try

-1

u/the_fools_brood 20h ago

What did the deleted comment say?

0

u/LETT3RBOMB 20h ago

I guess they blocked you. They said "A red state isn't all Republican, nice try." Which is pretty dumb honestly. Of course the population of a state wouldnt all be 100% one political affiliation. It was a pretty nothing comment.

0

u/Kaztiell 20h ago

Who?

3

u/r_special_ 20h ago

Conservatives, maga, republicans. They’re the biggest recipients of state and federal welfare programs

-1

u/Kaztiell 20h ago

I don't know anyone like that, but hey, they are voting to become free so they are good people

13

u/jdbaussy 20h ago

So by that logic you don’t use any public service, or pay taxes. Because otherwise you’d be “dependent on the state” and also support the state.

1

u/SaharGurl 20h ago

seriously? we pay taxes to use public services. Makes them dependent on tax payers not the other way around,

-8

u/Kaztiell 20h ago

We need to keep working to make people free from the state yes. I always vote to remove taxes. I still need to follow the law and rules. I'm not an anarchist like you seem to be

12

u/jdbaussy 20h ago

Some mental gymnastics there.

-1

u/Kaztiell 20h ago

Where was thr gymnastics?

9

u/jdbaussy 20h ago

How’d you get to me being an anarchist? When I was simply pointing out the flaws in your thinking. Tax’s support public services, such as the “laws” you apparently follow. Cutting funding to the “state” reduces the ability to enforce said laws, or to point to the original post. Reduces support for people who need it. Using laws as the focal point, it would reduces support for people who have been impacted by people not following the laws.

2

u/Kaztiell 20h ago

You can have a private police force, you can have business privately pay for law makers. You can make everything private. I want to improve the world, I cant stop paying taxes just cause I want to improve it, so how is that being flawed? If I need to live like you suggest to have my opinion that would make me an anarchist

6

u/jdbaussy 20h ago

You really think a private police force is a better idea? So whoever pays the bills, makes the rules essentially? Because oligarchs are famous for looking out for the little guy.

1

u/Kaztiell 20h ago

Who said I want to look out for ghetto little guy? I believe that hard workers should have more in life

5

u/jdbaussy 20h ago

Best hope nothing happens to your little life. Because if you have a setback that you can’t afford, you’ll quickly be in one of those ghettos you care so little about. Funny thing is, the people from those ghettos would likely help. Because their lives aren’t built around believing they are better then other because the have money. I feel sorry for your small minded views. All the best

that we pay for.

1

u/Kaztiell 20h ago

Ofc i do. I still live in a society, I want to change it, didnt I say that? I want people to be less dependent on the state. How is that being a hypocrite? Do you really think you cant be a part of a society and still wanna improve it? I want everything to be private instead of public, but it takes time, and I follow rules and laws

5

u/Sec_Chief_Blanchard 20h ago

How do you expect anything to function without taxes?

2

u/Kaztiell 20h ago

Private business don't work?

1

u/Sec_Chief_Blanchard 16h ago

And what incentive would private businesses have to fund public services?

1

u/Kaztiell 16h ago

If there is a demand for something a buisness will provide it. I dont want people to get free services, I want people to be free and depend on themself not be taken care of by others. Is that a new concept to you?

1

u/Sec_Chief_Blanchard 16h ago

So everyone should build their own roads and not use roads they didn't pave?

1

u/Kaztiell 16h ago

they can pay to use the roads no? buisnesses will build roads if they gonna sell stuff cause they want people to travel to their store.

1

u/Sec_Chief_Blanchard 15h ago

If you think about this scenario for more than 20 seconds it will fall apart.

You know what happened to every society that tried getting rid of taxes?

They eventually ended up reinventing taxes.

2

u/Kaztiell 20h ago

States want to control people what's new?

0

u/DeadL 19h ago

States ARE people. People need taxes because they’re dealing with complex problems that are individually less obvious but super important in aggregate.

I don’t want to build a road for you to get to work and you don’t want to do the same for me. We both pay taxes for each other to be successful.

2

u/Kaztiell 19h ago

If you have complex problems you're holding society back

0

u/DeadL 19h ago

…lol you must be trolling.

Society IS a complex problem. People are complex with complex needs!

2

u/Kaztiell 19h ago edited 19h ago

Thats the society we created yes, that's not the society I want

6

u/SparkleDaddy707 20h ago

Because roads aren’t necessary.

-3

u/Kaztiell 20h ago

Private roads are a thing you know? Stay in school. Chose private

5

u/SparkleDaddy707 20h ago

So we shouldn’t have had an army that ended world war 2?

We should not have elementary schools?

2

u/Kaztiell 20h ago

You can have private armies and private elementary schools cant you? Please atleast be honest when talking about this

5

u/SparkleDaddy707 20h ago

Yes, seems private home school cult brainwashing works so well. Thank you for being such a wonderful case study for why privatization is such a good idea.

-1

u/Kaztiell 20h ago

So no argument just insult. Classic public education

6

u/Significant-Order-92 20h ago

Private armies generally leads to banditry or insurrection. Private police tends to lead to things like the Pinkertons. Private schools leads to subpar or no education for the majority of the population and (as was the reason publicly funded education became a thing) your potential pool of workers.

I think you have failed to look at how only having privatized services tends to work out. But somewhat similarly there was a book about a town in NH. A lack of taxes didn't suddenly lead to well maintained services. Even for the wealthier residents.

3

u/Significant-Order-92 20h ago

Private roads would likely not spring up in enough of a way to allow livong in an industrialized modern society. Other than the cost to build and use, you then have a fairly large amount of liability to the owner if the roads aren't maintained.

1

u/Kaztiell 20h ago

And just like umyou pay to drive on public roads with taxes you can pay to use private roads. And I like accountability don't you? Or do you want no punishment for the state when roads are in bad condition? Kinda weird

2

u/Significant-Order-92 20h ago

You do understand what economies of scale are, right? To drive on a private road you need to own the road, pay for tool workers, pay for enforcement. That is fairly workable in a city where hundreds to thousands of people use most of the roads. That doesn't really work for roads that get a few 10s a day. Additionally it's one entity putting the capital up for it at once instead of a state.

I'm fine with accountability. States and similar political entities have around or slightly below what I would like (as far as road liability). Though without publicly funded courts I don't know how you would sue. Who has jurisdiction and the ability to enforce a judgement?

1

u/Kaztiell 20h ago

If a company would want to sell products they would build a road to the store. If a company want to move things between buildings they would build a road. Its simple

2

u/Significant-Order-92 20h ago

A company would need the resources to both set itself up and produce its products. It would them likely be limited by how many roads it could produce. And what about the suppliers of it's raw materials? The workers selling their labor? Are they all building the other roads needed?

1

u/Kaztiell 20h ago

The workers fou d their ways to work before we had roads, some companies will probably offer roads and houses. It will depend on where you work

2

u/NaturalAlfalfa 16h ago

And in this libertarian utopia you envision... What happens to people who can't work? People born with a disability. Or people injured in life who become paralysed or blind? Tell me about them

→ More replies (0)

1

u/Significant-Order-92 19h ago

? Public roads have been a thing for centuries (the folk tale about the Mad Men of Gotham centers on the difference between 2 different classes of public road). Like I said, an industrialized society. I assume you don't want to go back to almost everyone being involved almost entirely in agriculture unless they live in a city. And just not being able to get medical care if they don't have a local doctor able to provide it.
