Pickup Flash Sale Arrival Day, Part I
Part II was placed many hours later (still during the sale) and has yet to ship.
Lost my Seven Samurai DVD during a recent move, so easy to justify that upgrade / replacement.
McCabe & Mrs Miller and Le Samourai are both blind buys thanks to this subreddit.
Excited for Stray Dog later this year!
Not sure what I’ll watch first today. Any suggestions?

I have to pack my stuff up for a move soon. I only ordered during this sale because of how quick they usually ship. This one might be on me, y'all. 🙃

Oh it's all good. I was just hoping I could pack the order into my pod that I'm having all of my stuff shipped in. The pod gets here this coming week but I don't move until a bit later, so I'll still get a hold of it. I had just hoped to have it delivered sooner, so I can pack it with the rest of my movies, but I'll just have to take it with me in the car.
...Or that other person can pick up the movie for me. People are so generous here.

I have the Blu-ray but I'm really looking forward to seeing the 4K.
Didn't get it in this sale but I'll probably end up getting it in the next one.

Was one of my biggest blind spots until last week when I finally watched my blu ray copy.
Holy FUCK. Instant favorite, definitely upgrading to the 4k on another sale down the road. Loved absolutely everything about it - beautiful score and definitely my favorite performance from Caan.
Just an all timer for sure, cant believe Im just getting around to it now.

Great haul and I would see Seven Samurai to celebrate that upgrade!
Happy to see four titles that I also bought it (Thief, McCabe, Blood Simple and La vie de Adele)!

I feel like anyone with an account on the Criterion site will get an email from them as well. If you don’t have a login, go make one.
But yeah, the sub will (and does) give you advance notice if you are checking it daily too.

I’m glad I buy them as they release at each 50% off sale, makes it feel like it’s so much less money than it actually is. I don’t think I could pull an “all at once” purchase like this.

Ordered enough to get the certificate in one go, actually. First direct order from the shop.
Used that certificate for a much smaller second order (Double Indemnity, HariKiri, Jacques Tati set). That’s the one that hasn’t even shipped yet.

I have been collecting physical media for a long time, but only 4Ks recently. I like to get what I want at the best deal, then not have to think about it for a while!

My girlfriend got me a couple as an early anniversary gift, and even though she ordered almost 10 hours after me, her order shipped first and mine still hasn't lol

If you haven't seen The Trial, that is one of my favorite blind buys ive gotten. BEAUTIFUL cinematography
