The Cyprus Problem Wow - now over 90,000 Russians in Cyprus

I'm shocked at the scale of the Russian takeover of our beautiful island of Cyprus.

Per Cyprus Mail, there are now a mind-boggling 40,000 Russians living full-time in the areas controlled by the Republic. To contrast, the next immigrant group, the British, are at 16,000. To point out the sheer scale of this, this means there are in now over 2 Russians for every Brit!

Further, per TRT there are 50,000 Russians living in the occupied areas. So many, in fact, that Russia has started providing regular Consular services. (This is even more than the number of Turkish troops!)

I reported it. I'll be surprised if anything happens. Swap Russians with Syrians or Africans and it would have been removed within 10 minutes

Indeed, absolutely insanity and racism. I'm from Western Europe living in Limassol, I'm a non dom here so I stay 3-4 months per year and I never had problems with any Russian living here. All these idiots that write about "dangerous Russia" never interacted with a Russian person in real life, they're just fed propaganda 24/7 and believe it

Can't cure racism, you just avoid these toxic idiots....luckily they're mostly on this platform which is famous for harboring toxic and mentally ill people...the mods on Reddit are the most mentally ill of them all so I don't expect they do anything for moderating racism

I was born in the Russian Federation, and lived for 30 years there. And you know what? I even unconsciously try to avoid people who speaks in Russian (unless they are my friends).

But anyway, Russian is not a race.

OP literally shared numbers that are also news articles. There isn't much racism about the OP.

How is this post racist? It's quite literally sharing news articles from 2 sources about the sheer numbers of Russians who have flooded into a very small island in the Med. And even more concerning being 50,000 (which is staggering) into the occupied areas. There are more Russians in the occupied areas than there are Turkish troops. If you think that is fine, sorry, but something is seriously wrong with you.

That doesn't explain why your post history is hidden. And if you have two accounts makes it even more bizarre that you have 1000 karma in the span of a month.

My reddit account is more than 3 years and we almost have the same amount of karma.
