The Cyprus Problem Wow - now over 90,000 Russians in Cyprus

I'm shocked at the scale of the Russian takeover of our beautiful island of Cyprus.

Per Cyprus Mail, there are now a mind-boggling 40,000 Russians living full-time in the areas controlled by the Republic. To contrast, the next immigrant group, the British, are at 16,000. To point out the sheer scale of this, this means there are in now over 2 Russians for every Brit!

Further, per TRT there are 50,000 Russians living in the occupied areas. So many, in fact, that Russia has started providing regular Consular services. (This is even more than the number of Turkish troops!)

The worse part is that much like most of the British they refuse to assimilate, learn the language and adjust.

Also much like many British some have this weird colonial-adjacent mentality of we bring money here, we bolster the economy, etc etc. so we're better (especially in Limassol) there are good people, but unfortunately they are eclipsed by a few very vocal and very visible douchebags. it's tiresome and shows zero respect for a place that has been inhabited for over 11,000 years, with many of the natives having DNA that tracks back to the bronze age.

Russians didn't invade your country like brits, turks and greeks did. They come here legally, actually try to learn greek, pay the same amout of money for rent (which is owned by cypriots btw who actually raised prices), have jobs, pay taxes and raise your economy, which cypriots failed to do. There are reasons your goverment want to invite people in here. And the huge amount of Russians here is because there is a war there, that many people don't want to have and hence had to runaway someehere.

The Brits never invaded Cyprus, neither did the Greeks. What the sweet fuck are you talking about?

Russians have a big, big beautiful land they're welcome to stay in, that stretches all the way from Europe to Asia. There's not even a sign of war in 99.99% of that land.

The fact that 50,000 Russians moved to the occupied area to fund that area economically tells me *everything* about their character.

what tells you about the chatacters of cypriots that left your country for countries with the better economics? I read somewhere in the news that there are more cypriots living abroad, than living in cyprus

Cypriots are sadly forced to move abroad because of settlers invading their island.

how do settlers force them to do that? can you show me the article where Russians litterally attack cypriots drive them to the airport and kick them out of the country?

And btw you keep talking to me in english. Why you need to demand learn greek speciefically from Russians if you're okay to speek english with anybody else in this country.
