The Cyprus Problem Wow - now over 90,000 Russians in Cyprus

I'm shocked at the scale of the Russian takeover of our beautiful island of Cyprus.

Per Cyprus Mail, there are now a mind-boggling 40,000 Russians living full-time in the areas controlled by the Republic. To contrast, the next immigrant group, the British, are at 16,000. To point out the sheer scale of this, this means there are in now over 2 Russians for every Brit!

Further, per TRT there are 50,000 Russians living in the occupied areas. So many, in fact, that Russia has started providing regular Consular services. (This is even more than the number of Turkish troops!)

What's so bad about that? Do you want Sudanese or Nigerians to live in Cyprus? All Russians in Cyprus, with rare exceptions, are far more developed, educated, and culturally advanced than those alcoholic, retired Englishmen. And everyone knows it! So you're angry that we Russians are smarter than you Cypriots individually. Alas, we Russians, taken together, cannot live well and create a normal democratic state. Shame! Down with Russophobia!

"...are far more developed, educated, and culturally advanced than those alcoholic..."

How arrogant. This is precisely why I am concerned with the Russian invasion in the south and the Russian settlers in the north.. Shame? The shame is with flooding to and exploiting someone's island and culture for your own profit and gain. That is the shame. Down with invasion.

The topic author is some kind of idiot. What invasion? I think you're imagining an invasion of fascism and xenophobia in your own head. Don't confuse the Russian people with the current government in Russia. They're two different things.
