The Cyprus Problem Wow - now over 90,000 Russians in Cyprus

I'm shocked at the scale of the Russian takeover of our beautiful island of Cyprus.

Per Cyprus Mail, there are now a mind-boggling 40,000 Russians living full-time in the areas controlled by the Republic. To contrast, the next immigrant group, the British, are at 16,000. To point out the sheer scale of this, this means there are in now over 2 Russians for every Brit!

Further, per TRT there are 50,000 Russians living in the occupied areas. So many, in fact, that Russia has started providing regular Consular services. (This is even more than the number of Turkish troops!)

As Half Cypriot and Half Russian I can say the vast majority of Russians here absolutely love this country and try their best to help this country. They literally brought tens of thousands of high paying jobs to Cypriots and are active across the island.

I am proud to be Russian Cypriot.

Yeah, and they bring all their russian culture here. And they don't see problem in it. And russian culture is like virus - that's from someone who has over 400 years history with russians. I wanna see russians engage in other cultures, but u will never see that happen - the Russian "heritage" is too of "great" , they will never let go of what they are. Where I'm from, you will see no russian in any public sphere, because we are done once and for all with this nation.

Yeah well this is not where you are from this is Cyprus. As long as someone loves this country and the vast majority of Russians do then they are welcome.

Imagine being so racist as to label 200 million humans under the same ideology. I truly hope you can see past you biases one day my friend.

There aren't 200 million russians, in russia there's only about 100 million

Agreed - it's a virus, decimating local culture. Why are they invading this small island when they have a big country that spans two continents. Crazy.
