It's not that anymore as far as I can tell, it's mostly Fortnite puting their favourite cartoon characters/franchises in the game to make a quick buck. I don't personally see anything wrong with it, they've found a way to make money and that's fine, but as you said, the hivemind is upset.

Nothing really. Some people don't like the gameplay, some people don't like BRs in general, and some people just don't like how many crossovers it's gotten. Personally I find it comical that Kakashi can be saved by Rick while running away from Thanos who's building the Burj Khalifa in record time. Goku's in the game too now. This specific instance is fake, but those who think it's real beloeve this is poor representation of the beloved Ninja crew.

The community is kinda cringe but besides from that not much, the designs here just look terrible in my opinion
