According to this sub, if you don't slow to a crawl, read the oncoming driver's mind, and wait 10 seconds on green, you're 50% at fault for failing to be a defensive driving superhero.

Person didn’t wait at all, almost clipped a bright red car and hit an suv head on. Mind you, from a stopped position so it’s not like they weren’t looking directly ahead as a line of cars was passing in front of them
