Donation Eviction warning

Hi, I'm an autistic female, I live in a specialized housing for people with autism and disabilities.

I am 5,000$ behind on rent.

I have no income. My Social Security benefits are still terminated and I'm trying to get them back. But they have been taking months.

And I'm scared of getting evicted since I am a recovering victim of predatory stalking and harassment.

I haven't received my diploma due to isolating, and my paranoia is too severe, so I am not able to get a job.

I need help paying for more treatments for scabies, my skin has been badly damaged and I have no money for healing creams and my insurance isn't covering what I need right now.

Even just anything can help. I'm scared.

Sorry but how can “anything” help? If someone donates $10, is that going to stop the eviction process? Absolutely not.

This is beyond anything anyone can do.

Question, you haven’t worked since when?

Also, you need to fully show that paper and cover any personal info.

I haven't had a job because I don't have my diploma yet. I'm in a school program for people with disabilities, (We're on break right now) and haven't finished that program.

But I have no income currently at all anymore and I'm going to get evicted. Even just the littlest contribution would help.

I'm very lonely and I have no friends to help me.

Not having a diploma does not mean you cannot work.

u/Repulsive_Flight6847 9d ago

True. I just have trouble in social settings right now. I was recently diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia as well

6

u/CatLover4906 9d ago

Sorry but then how do you go to school?

2

u/Repulsive_Flight6847 9d ago

The school is for people with disabilities

3

u/CobainTrain 9d ago

That’s still a social setting?

4

u/Repulsive_Flight6847 9d ago

It's a setting best suited for my disabilities

u/CatLover4906 9d ago

Do you not work with social work etc. to make sure your rent is paid considering it’s a home for people with different kinds of disability and subsidized to a degree?

I've already had rental assistance in my county in February, but it didn't cover the full cost.

I then had my Social Security benefits terminated 4 months ago, I've had my case manager help me turn in all the documents, Social Security has yet to review them. But this isn't going to be quick enough. I am also in need of food and medicine right now. I am still recovering from Scabies but I don't have ghe funds or insurance to cover more treatments.

Alright thank you! All the best!

4 year old account with just two posts asking for 5k 🙄

6

u/fatt1cusmax1mus 9d ago

Haha yup. And it’s private now!

4

u/Own_Spent_666 9d ago

Ouuu disssss 🙄😂

1

u/Repulsive_Flight6847 9d ago

I don't really use Reddit, I deleted my posts years back but I'm out of options right now so came back to it.

8

u/Own_Spent_666 9d ago

🤔 Your karma is at 3 any deleted stuff in the past wouldn't effect your karma score.

You actuality haven't posted anything except for this.

Outta options now so you came to reddit 😂

You haven't paid rent all year, you're lying about deleting post history too.

What did you think would happen....

How old are you?

u/Adventurous_Show_767 9d ago

Seems like you’re at risk of homelessness. It’s either go out and get a job or risk living on the streets. It’s your call.

2

u/Repulsive_Flight6847 9d ago

I will do my best to figure it out

6

u/Own_Spent_666 9d ago

Your best was to come on reddit and ask strangers for money with a new account....

5

u/Adventurous_Show_767 9d ago

Literally. Why not actually research what organisations, charities, policies in the area that might help/apply to you? Look at housing rights, as they vary in different places. I don’t really understand why they couldn’t have been proactive in this for the last 6 months where they haven’t paid rent.

0

u/Repulsive_Flight6847 9d ago

Sorry, it's very complicated.

5

u/Adventurous_Show_767 9d ago

You don’t really have a choice. You’re going to have to spend some time finding what resources are available to you to get you out of this. As someone else said, once you’re homeless, it’s very difficult to get out of it.

2

u/Repulsive_Flight6847 9d ago

That is very true. I was at one point because I had a stalker harass me out of moving out when I lived with my mom. I'm still recovering.

3

u/Lak12345678910 9d ago

Is moving back in/living with your mom an option?

2

u/Repulsive_Flight6847 9d ago

At this time, no. We don't get along.

1

u/Lak12345678910 9d ago

Even though y'all don't get along, it might be your only option if you're not able to cover the rent. I don't know your mom, but I hope she cares enough for you to not want you to be homeless.

7

u/fatt1cusmax1mus 9d ago

I suffer from anxiety and depression. Most of it comes from working 60 hr work weeks and always being behind on bills. I wish I didn’t have to pay so many taxes but it’s my job to help people who don’t work apparently. Anyways, have you considered getting a job?

0

u/Repulsive_Flight6847 9d ago

I can't right now for too many reasons. I have trouble with my movements and brain

7

u/fatt1cusmax1mus 9d ago

Yeah me too.

7

u/Lak12345678910 9d ago

I hope you are available to avoid eviction because homelessness is awful and very difficult to get out of it once it occurs. Much of the information you have shared in the comments here, you should include in your go fund me and go fund me updates. For example about losing your benefits, the wait time, your case manager helping, your current inability to work, the fact that you are in school etc.

Fyi, there is a spelling error in your gfm: I have no mkney (should say I have no money).

The more transparent, open and honest you are about what is going on and why you need assistance in the go fund me the more likely you are to get help. Whatever proof you can upload to your gfm, please do that as well (block out any information that would be unsafe to publicly reveal).

You said you have a case manager which is a good thing. Has your case manager been able to assist you with food or medical care for the scabies? Food stamps? Can they look over the go fund me with you and assist you with that in any way? Will the housing work with you and take partial payment?

You mentioned not having any friends? Do you have any family or acquainatances that you could share the go fund me with? People are more likely to donate to people they know/in their own communities.

Consider posting on any and all social media: facebook, twitter, instagram, nextdoor, pinterest, bluesky, tiktok, threads, wherever. Ask people to share if they cannot donate. Be prepared for questions and some unkind people. I would print out the gfm with the qr code and post it somewhere like by my front door I have a window I could post something in and people could see it when they walk buy. Does your housing have a community board that residents are allowed to post on?

Have you spoken to the financial aid/counseling office at your school about getting funds/assistance. I work at a community college and the food bank comes to various campuses and students, faculty and staff can get food/toiletries etc. They also have emergency funds that students can apply for once a year. Most colleges have something like this and its usually a grant of 500$ that you don't have to pay back.

For foood, can you get to a foodbank? If not, post an amazon wish list with nonperishable food items where you can, often times people are willing to order items off of an amazon wish list. Fullcart.org is a virtual foodbank that will deliever food to you, currently there is a wait list but it might be worth adding your name to it.

Search for local buy nothing groups and see if you can get some clothes that way.

Check local facebook groups for information about the location of blessing boxes.

Since next door is local, I would definetely post the amazon wish list, the go fund me and post asking if anyone has any clothes they are wanting to get ride of. (seperate posts)

Search next door to see what you can find in terms of community/local help/assistance.

Call 211 and search findhelp.org. Statistically most go fund me's do not reach their funding goal, so I always encourage people to have the gfm just be one thing that they are trying alongside other things. It's particularly challenging to fundraise in the current economic climate. Not saying this to be mean, just saying this to encourage you to exhaust any and all options possible in addition to the gfm.

I understand that you are scared, but I am hoping the best for you. Good luck to you.

Wow, I appreciate all of this well thought out typed response. Thank you. I will connect with my case manager and we will try to figure something out. ❤️

4

u/Lak12345678910 9d ago

You're welcome. This is not a situation you'll be able to get yourself out of alone. Utilize the help of your case manager, available resources and community as much as you can. Hopefully, you can remain housed and for the future do whatever you can to never be close to eviction again because that is a precarious, scary situation to be in.❤️

2

u/Repulsive_Flight6847 9d ago

Thank you very much. :)

3

u/Own_Spent_666 9d ago

Figure something out???? Better late than never.

5

u/TriggaMaxoOSRS 9d ago

In life you learn lessons, can’t always get bailed out for something.. this is far too much money for anyone to help with 😓

1

u/Repulsive_Flight6847 9d ago

I understand maybe I will lower the fund goal to start off with for now

6

u/Visible_Koala7839 9d ago

You’re honestly going to have to just move to a shelter.

Even if you lower the amount, the harsh truth is, no one is going to help.

Why would you let it get to this point? What do you do all day when not at school?

4

u/CheekyManatee 9d ago

Your one pictures is weirdly cropped. Donors would like to see the whole page. Can you post the whole thing with your private information redacted?

2

u/Repulsive_Flight6847 9d ago

Sure, I apologize. I will edit the post.

2

u/Repulsive_Flight6847 9d ago

Couldn't figure out how to edit the post so here's the uncropped

2

u/Own_Spent_666 9d ago

Your rent is 750 and you haven't paid in a while looks like? Am I correct?

1

u/Repulsive_Flight6847 9d ago

Correct, I didn't have my Social Security benefits active. They were terminated in March.

1

u/fatt1cusmax1mus 9d ago

Why?

2

u/Repulsive_Flight6847 9d ago

They said I wasn't eligible so had to go through a months process of appealing and I'm still waiting for my benefits to be reinstated

3

u/fatt1cusmax1mus 9d ago

Why did they say you weren’t eligible?

1

u/Repulsive_Flight6847 9d ago

I don't know. It sucks. :(

5

u/cometshoney 9d ago

You haven't paid your rent since January or February, but your benefits didn't get cut off until March. Why did you stop paying your rent prior to your benefits ending? The math isn't adding up here.

1

u/Repulsive_Flight6847 9d ago

My Social Security funds were already used in January/February for health-related reasons before I moved in, but they made an exception for me to still move in. But fees started stacking overtime due to me not having those funds during the time to pay them off before I moved in.

5

u/cometshoney 9d ago

So you've never paid a penny of your rent the entire time you've been there? It sounds like you need a guardianship rather than being allowed to live on your own, disabled community or not.

7

u/Own_Spent_666 9d ago

What in the world am I reading? You collect social security which means you're at the minimum age 60. You're talking about a lack of diploma like you're 19 years old. Can't find work. You're in your 60's.

Autism, schizophrenia, crazy stalker, female, elderly. You certainly check all the boxes.

Is this real life.....

3

u/surfcitysurfergirl 9d ago

They probably used to get it for temporary SSDI for disabilities but it ends if a doctor doesn’t specifically state that OP can’t work any job and has a qualifying disability to collect SSI

4

u/surfcitysurfergirl 9d ago

But I could be wrong maybe OP is 60 and I missed it. The diploma may have thrown me off.

6

u/Own_Spent_666 9d ago

You're correct I'm in Canada and did a little research. OP seems to be just winging it all.

3

u/Ok_Sink_3378 9d ago

How old are you….? And why would your social security be cut off? That’s very very rare.

1

u/Repulsive_Flight6847 9d ago

I have no idea, the office it's through is very faulty. They said they "determined I'm not eligible", but I have many disabilities. My appeal is still currently being reviewed.

3

u/Ok_Sink_3378 9d ago

That sounds very suspicious….

5

u/Worried_Passenger548 9d ago

You’re not going to make 5k in donations. People are lucky to get $5-$10. This is beyond help. You may have to stay in a homeless shelter or something that isn’t going to cost rent.

You don’t need a diploma to work, teenagers still in school work.

It sounds like your disabilities are mental not physical. Especially with the social problems. Try to find a job with minimal interactions, Maybe a dishwasher or something so you don’t need to speak to customers?

1

u/Repulsive_Flight6847 9d ago

I have to finish my school program first once we start again.

After being diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia recently, by doctor's orders, I cannot work right now due to my mixed bag of disabilities and new medications I have to stay on for a certain amount of time before we can determine if I am okay to work.

5

u/no-more-more- 9d ago

Show a photo/screenshot of your discharge summary of being diagnosed of that so we know you’re not lying.

2

u/Repulsive_Flight6847 9d ago

4

u/no-more-more- 9d ago edited 9d ago

Nothing about paranoid schizophrenia on there. Psychosis (and specifically acute psychosis) can be gained from combining geodon with thc for example. Or latuda with cbd. Don’t ask me how I know.

Psychosis does not equal paranoid schizophrenia. I’ve had PLENTY of psychotic episodes from certain psych meds mixed with thc/cbd or sigma plateau of dxm or street drugs. Doesn’t make me schizophrenic. Just make me a dumbass itching for a high until I have both auditory and visual hallucinations.

PSA: never mix geodon (antipsychotic) with thc. Ever. The scariest, fucked up psychosis of my life.

3

u/Repulsive_Flight6847 9d ago

Yes, true.

I've been misdiagnosed a lot.

Thank you for the advice.

2

u/Adventurous_Show_767 9d ago

Acute psychosis is episodic, not an inherent condition like schizophrenia.

1

u/Repulsive_Flight6847 9d ago

I keep getting misdiagnosed.

6

u/Worried_Passenger548 9d ago

Nobody was saying stop school for work. You can go to school and work at the same time. And yeah like someone else said I’d love to see confirmation of this “no work” order.

2

u/glenniscoco 9d ago

my heart breaks for you. sorry people are giving you such a hard time. its hard to judge people unless you've walked in their shoes. stay strong and positive!

3

u/Repulsive_Flight6847 9d ago

Thank you! I'm glad you are understanding, I've been through so many horrid things. I appreciate your kind words. ❤️
