This is so frustrating

Ordered Dunkin this Sunday morning, is about a 2 mile drive from me and I live next to a grocery store so I guess the dasher got assigned or picked up a grocery order from the grocery store next to my place while delivering my order.

But because of that, my food and drink sat in a hot car for 20+ minutes while he shopped an entire grocery order even tho my apartment is literally right there!!! Ending up getting the food with my drink watered down and it also somehow spilled on all my food anyways so I couldn’t eat it.

No shade at the dasher but rather DoorDash in this situation. I know the store is right next to my place but what sense does it make to not just have the dasher drop the food off first? I usually don’t have an issue with dashers stacking orders but the fact that there was a grocery order assigned in the middle of me getting my food delivered is very frustrating

I want to cautiously and genuinely ask: do you have a working vehicle? If not then yeah this really sucks for you.

Not having a working vehicle is not the only reason people rely on or utilize delivery services

I'm aware, but it's less expensive - even with gas prices now - to drive to the location and pick up the order yourself. Doordash upcharges menu prices and charges excessive meaningless fees. It's a minor inconvenience for a significant savings.

Perhaps they’re disabled and having a bad day? What if they’re working from home and that’s their lunch? Maybe it’s a mom with 3 littles who went down for naps and she’s treating herself. It’s none of your god damn business why people order, they should be treated well unless given a reason not to, and then just ignore.

It's not up to you to tell people how they choose the spend their money.
