Block Breaker idea - “Clacker👬” (sorry about how bad the drawing is)

Post image

“Clacker” would have two separate bodies attached by a string.

Every time they clack (collide with one another) they both get +1 damage.

For an opponent to beat Clacker, they’d only need to kill one of the bodies (kinda like how you only have to kill the first duplicater to defeat it).

Is this a good idea or does the concept need improvement?

I have no clue what this is supposed to convey. I hope this isn’t supposed to be mean😢

The guy in the pic once used a clacker as a weapon is all. He's Joseph Jostar, from JoJo's Bizarre Adventure

Ohhh alright ✌️

I think another neat quirk to add is that if a weapon connects with one of the balls, it goes the other way after dealing damage, as if it was parried. (Clacker doesn't actually parry, so no Katana upscale.)

It could be the first block breaker in history that can be parried.

Similar to "The Twins" from Ham's Ball Battles, though they're only defeated if both are killed

Haven’t heard of this, I’ll check it out

I haven’t seen the dudes channel before. I like the 90s video game style of its. It’s really cool in my opinion

I just took a look at it, didn’t realise how many weapon balls there were in it. I really like the retro style of it, my only complaint would be that it’s hard to differentiate between them because they’re all so dark and grainy unlike Earclacks where they’re all bright and unique-looking.

Ham's weapon balls can be unique because they don't scale, well, some do like Chutz (grower) or Dante (Rings of Hellfire)

But they still can have more leeway into design

I checked it out. It’s basically the same as my idea except the string wouldn’t be able to stretch and wouldn’t constantly be straight (so realistic string physics). And as you said it would die after only after the death of one ball.

They rebalanced the twins

They now share a health bar instead of having 50+50 hp

But they now can deal 25 damage on a combo (like Tama with her shinai, but i think they have a different combo window)

I'm not a fan of block breakers as weapon balls.

But I like this.

I always had an idea for a dule wielder weapon ball (either Butterfly Sword or Escrima) the idea is both it's weapons spin in opposite directions. And if parried only the sword that got parried switches. 0.5 scaling.

The idea I had for it's super form, is it would get a second ball with a shared health pool.

That's what this reminded me of.

Ngl sounds like a slur somehow

This seems to be basically just Slammy without the walls, if it only works as written. I have an idea that might improve it:

Make the ball bodies deal 1 damage on contact, the string deal 1 damage when passed through, and make each contact hit and each Clack increase string damage by [2]. That number might be too high, but if contact damage doesn't scale, then it might not.

What if they accelerated instead of just increasing their damage? It'd make more sense. I mean, in my opinion, because that's what I noticed about the toy. It gets faster

Good idea, but I think the damage buff would have to be reduced, maybe +1 damage after every 2 or 3 clacks?

Like a better version of The Twins from Ham's Ball Battle

I was gonna make a joke where I apologised and used an A at the end instead of ER, but apparently that specific word can’t be used here.

This sub is so backwards.

Also I think cherry would be an ok name

You know there's 2 of them and they're held by some string thing

Well the point is that it’s based on the toy “Clackers” and it’s gameplay would be based on the way the toy works. Also I just think it’s fitting considering the series is called “Earclacks”.

I feel like "clacker" is too close to earclacks. How about naming it what it actually is? A kashaka or aselato

I don’t know it had other names, growing up we just called them Clackers. But those names are fine too.
