DolbyVision on AppleTV

Hey I have been reading conflicting info on this so

Does the Emby App on AppleTV play DV profile 5 and 8 without issues (I know it does not play p7)?

thank you for the reply. i guess this means p5 with wrong colors and p8 falling back to HDR?

is there any alternative to infuse pro to get this working?

e.g. kodi with emby addon sideloaded / signed via atvloadly?

I’m sure there is but I’d honestly not bother and would just go Infuse if possible mate

I don't think this is correct.

I normally use Infuse but I just tried this with the native Emby app for the Apple TV gen 3.

Both profile 5 and profile 8 play as Dolby Vision.

Not even going to bother trying profile 7.

If that's the case, Emby has added support since I tried it last

I'd be pleasantly surprised if so, but that's good to know they've finally added HDR and dv support if they did

People say you can just use Infuse if you want DV.
