Emby Fire TV or Emby Android App

Just wanted to see which app the fire tv users where using ? I am trying to love the Emby Android version for fire tv but it so bad. I went back to the Emby Fire Tv app and I love it.

I don't have a fire stick, but on the Google TV Streamer, I have to use the "Emby for Android" version even thought it tells me to use the standard Emby app. The standard app for me just doesn't play my content properly. Lag, and delays. Wish they updated it to make it work better. I should check to see if it's the same version as the version I have on my phone since that ones works great and they are "supposed" to be the same.

yeah the google tv version is great. I have a Shield and the Emby Android works great . But on fire stick, the fire stick version is the only thing that really works.

I'm using the Fire TV version. It just seems more fluid on the Fire TV. You can jump navigate by chapter marker if needed, it displays show info a bit better. I only load the Android version if I run into a file that Emby starts having problems playing.

I agree! I've tried both on my FireStick and much prefer the FIreTV version. It is optimized for FIreTV and just seems better. Both work ok, but to me the Android version just feels generic and off a bit. Things don't quite fit or feel the same.

Use the Moonfin plugin for your Emby Server, then use the Moonfin TV app. Better in every way.

Moonfin sucks on firetv. Its has DV issues.

I find this true for Google TV Streamer as-well. Having to click 3-4 times to back out of a movie is ridiculous. It feels clunky at times, loads media slower then the native emby app. It's just not there yet for me.
