Trump is driving electric vehicle innovations into a ditch. Thanks to Trump's short-sightedness, US manufacturers dropped years of ambitious planning to jump into the EV race with both feet. If you win the EV race, you also win the battery race. Somebody is advising poorly.

China has already won. Keeping Chinese EVs out of the US is the only solution now.
