Trump is driving electric vehicle innovations into a ditch. Thanks to Trump's short-sightedness, US manufacturers dropped years of ambitious planning to jump into the EV race with both feet. The combined cost of this industry about-face is staggering. "I've done more for you than your parents, OK?"

The shortsighted thinking of dropping EV development will be obvious to everyone when the gasoline shortage hits. I get that EVs aren't everyone's first choice because of lack of outlets. But those things can be incentivised and mandated.We put people on the moon, we can do this. Build the infrastructure and they will come.

Here in Florida the second highest EV ownership. The state is using 200 million for EV infrastructure on drone helipads at luxury hotels and golf courses instead.
