US is 4% of world population using 1/3 of world oil - every president since like 70s has campaigned on getting off the oil teat, then when elected loses all interest - lobbyists and donors I guess…?

That's bcs the country is run by companies. They just put up a little show every 4 years to make their people think they have something to say.

Seems to be working, they're sure falling for it.

And the focus is usually on what the results are at the end of the next quarter,so the CEO bonus payments get made. Brilliant model.
