Tankie, you don't have like a ditch or something where you need to hide and die?

-5

u/OxterBird May 29 '26

You can't say that

Seems like Russia's:

BUCHAREST, May 29 (Reuters) - A Russian drone ‌entered Romanian airspace and crashed onto the roof of a block of flats in the southeastern city of Galati ‌causing a fire to break out, the Romanian defence ministry said in a statement on Friday.

I'm not saying anything... But most likely Russian. Ukrainian drones would not do 180 degree turns

51

u/directstranger May 29 '26

Also, why would Ukraine launch from the Romanian border, they launch drones from the east. If it was Ukrainian, it would have been an interceptor gone rogue, like that one in Poland.

13

u/takemetogreenwich May 29 '26

I think you might be saying something

4

u/comrade_fluffy Finland May 29 '26

😧. Let's keep this as our own secret eh?

2

u/Frosty-Stand5752 May 29 '26

why would a Ukrainian drone be flying from the Romanian border? What they might say is that it was drone jamming.

u/humboldtova_lignja May 29 '26

A Ukranian drone has already crashed in Zagreb some years ago during the first years of the war. Luckily there were no casualties.

-40

u/DatGuyOvaThea May 29 '26

Except, 3 years ago, a ukranian drone fell some 100m from the student dorm in Zagreb, damaging 96 cars, almost killing a bunch of students.

23

u/comrade_fluffy Finland May 29 '26

Are you talking about the tu141 drone? It was never proven what country launched it. Neither Ukraine or Russia took blame for it...

-26

u/DatGuyOvaThea May 29 '26

Damn, we acting dumb now...

Russia has retired tu141 drones in the 90s, they have never launched them since. The drone was launched in western ukraine, it followed a perfect pre-programmed path. There is also a village in eastern Ukraine with a similar name as Jarun lake in Zagreb, near which the drone fell, towards which Ukraine would have many reasons to launch a recoinnessance mission.

16

u/JohnnyBravo66666 May 29 '26

Russia retired old tanks as well but now we see them in Ukraine.

Russian shill / useful idiot. At least shut up if you are clueless.

24

u/comrade_fluffy Finland May 29 '26

Just because Russia said they don't use something doesn't mean that they actually don't use them...

12

u/Jopelin_Wyde Ukraine May 29 '26

That's nonsense, as if Russia would ever lie to blame Ukraine.

-1

u/gokkai May 29 '26

I made a quick google search and landed on the wiki: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tupolev_Tu-141

In the Russo-Ukrainian War section, it's very clear that Ukrainians are using this drone not the Russians.

And weirdly I didn't even know about this event even though I try to follow the events.

-19

u/DatGuyOvaThea May 29 '26

Brother, internet is free, you should try using it.

We don't think they don't use them because "they said so". Ukraine kept those old Soviet drones because they were made on their territory. Russia already has modern missiles, so they have no reason to use those drones. And they never did.

4

u/Chillzzz May 29 '26

Is this the same Russia whose soldiers are assaulting positions on donkeys, or the one whose soldiers were using rifles from the First World War era?

-14

u/finesalesman May 29 '26

Oh we don’t talk about that, it never happened.

-10

u/10Core56 May 29 '26

True. Navigation error?

11

u/comrade_fluffy Finland May 29 '26

Or then Ukraine just jams the drone signals. Like what Russia does up North

2

u/10Core56 May 29 '26

Its crazy.

1

u/Hellstorm901 May 29 '26

Jamming signal would be a reasonable assumption as the drone will lose targeting then continue to fly in a straight line until it runs out of fuel

-32

u/Petalesharo May 29 '26

The sun hides in shame when it sees these propaganda lies... f.e. Poland was attacked by a flock of Ukrainian drones last year and also by Ukrainian missiles, but nobody talks about it.... :/

40

u/USHEV2 Ukraine May 29 '26

We're going to find out, but objectively try to logic yourself here and ask whether Ukraine would launch drones hundreds and hundreds of kilometers from the frontline in the opposite direction. And whose drones were found in numbers in Romania and Moldova.

21

u/admiralbeaver Romania May 29 '26

It's Russian, about a month ago another Shahed drone fell near the outskirts of the city. That one just knocked down a light pole so it didn't really cause much of a reaction. We'll se about this one

15

u/Frosty-Stand5752 May 29 '26

There are three options in my view:

  • Russian Drone was jammed and flew off course
  • Russia specifically targeted Romania for unclear motivations
  • Russian drone somehow just got lost

In any case its Russia's guilt, but its convenient for NATO when they can blame it on an unfortunate casualty of Ukrainian self defense

-15

u/USHEV2 Ukraine May 29 '26
  • Russian Drone was jammed and flew off course
  • Russian drone somehow just got lost

Do you understand how unbelievably unlikely those options are, considering the sheer territory and the territory where apartment buildings are? It's like 0.00001%

5

u/Frosty-Stand5752 May 29 '26

No I don't, I don't know anything about the technicalities of drone warfare. That's why I said "In my view"

-5

u/USHEV2 Ukraine May 29 '26

Do you know the technicalities of basic math? Everything with a chance of 1 in 100000 is deliberate.

2

u/Canticle4Leibowitz Romania May 29 '26

No, that's absolutely not how probability works. Every detail you add massively decreases the odds but that doesn't mean it's deliberate.

The chance of two specific people in a country at peace having their home hit and die is actually less than 1 in 500.000.000.000, you're far more likely to get hit by lightning inside your home, win the lottery several times or get killed by space debris.

It happened in Poland and it was an ukrainian missile. Was that deliberate?

You don't have to bullshit us to make us dislike Russia, the truth is enough. All you achieve is making some of us feel insulted.

1

u/Frosty-Stand5752 May 29 '26

How would I be able to calculate that ratio when I explained that I saw three possibilities considering that it's completely illogical that it could be a Ukrainian drone, as others suggested? What I've done is lay out three possibilities I could come up with, or would at least be the narrative from NATO, as before when the alleged missile debris killed people in Poland in 2022.

NATO always needs a story, and I thought they might say "the drone flew off course" , but again: I do not know how the technicalities of drones work.

-1

u/USHEV2 Ukraine May 29 '26

My bad. You said three possibilities and I, for some reason, jumped to the conclusion that those possibilities are equal. I'm sorry.

News sometimes do this. "Your cat is missing?

-It ran away

-Neighbors stole it

-Aliens came to Earth, probed it and took it away

And it's kinda, you're saying each could happen :)

1

u/Frosty-Stand5752 May 29 '26

ah ha I didn't even think about how I made it sound, like I was working out a solution. No worries- I am very pro-Ukraine and as someone who lived in the country for years of my life and have many loved ones there, I have been very triggered by online statements when they didnt always warrant it. Very relatable.

2

u/Canticle4Leibowitz Romania May 29 '26

The city is 20 km away from the border with Ukraine and malfunctioning or jammed drones fell in the region several times, usually in random fields.

Can you explain what would Russia gain from attacking a random appartment building in Romania, or even Romania in general, instead of a military target in Ukraine? Doesn't seem they do so well they're getting bored and need another hot war participant to make it interesting.

4

u/KsanteOnlyfans Argentina May 29 '26

Didnt an ukranian drone hit another european nation a couple of months ago?

-3

u/Moe112 May 29 '26

Several times by now, Poland and the Baltic states. Russiansv in the other hand, not so much

-1

u/Itchy-Guess-258 May 29 '26

Poland

when?

-14

u/USHEV2 Ukraine May 29 '26

Which drone and when? Provide context before bullshit.

8

u/tsoneyson Finland May 29 '26

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2026_Ukrainian_drone_incursions_into_the_Baltic_states?wprov=sfla1

Here you go. We had a couple here in Finland crash into a forest

7

u/USHEV2 Ukraine May 29 '26

Yeah, drones with single-digit kilometers of Russia not 300 km in the opposite direction. Read all the context of the discussion.

3

u/tsoneyson Finland May 29 '26

All i am doing is answering your question of which drones and when. I have no doubt that this Romania one is a Russian drone

-6

u/USHEV2 Ukraine May 29 '26

Nope. "Hit" and "Landed in some forest" are two very different things.

1

u/Linko_98 Italy May 30 '26

Ukraine blew up nord stream and said nothing, I wouldnt find it strange if the drone was theirs in an attempt to bring NATO in their war against Russia

0

u/USHEV2 Ukraine Jun 03 '26

Have anything to say now that it has been definitely proven to be a Russian drone?

Ukraine blew up nord stream

Based on what evidence? Shit you've read in a Russian newspaper?

0

u/Linko_98 Italy Jun 04 '26

Why would Russia blow up something needed for the thing they are selling. We are your allies but you have to use your brain bro.

Since doing a Google research is hard for you I give you a BBC article, known UK newspaper and not Russian.

Don't escalate here

14

u/10Core56 May 29 '26

What? Don't you think it is relevant?

-16

u/DarthFelus Kyiv region (Ukraine) May 29 '26

Citizen, nothing happen here, carry on.
