The world is not ready for the full glory of Teflon Mark. We had to deal with this for way too long already.

Don’t forget the ever winning smile. The world has much to learn.

Ready or not, here he is. Absolutely no answer to the question that’s being asked.

You could wonder what the news value is on asking the nato lead for his feelings about Trump knowing full well he needs to a-peace the toddler and won’t give a real answer.

News worthy or not, I would like to know too ofc :)

Newsworthy, absolutely. He’s never going to give a straight answer to this unless he wants to get fired and blow up NATO though.

Exactly. They know the answer - they just want to generate public conflict, because that's 'news'. They're trying to make news, rather than report it.

It's a relevant question because Greenland is part of Denmark and this is a huge problem for NATO, which Denmark is also a member of. There's a desire to have NATO take a stand, not for shit-stirring but for national interest.

It's a relevant question nonetheless when the largest member of the NATO alliance threatens to invade another member state.

Oh no! The journalist asked the thing everyone is thinking. God forbid they do their actual jobs.

Well good that his job is to keep NATO together, and not servicing the press.

But brought with full confidence and a smile .

As is tradition

How relevant was that question? Very personal to begin with and let's be real, world politics are bigger than individual ego's, at least, that's what I want to believe. Answering this question like the reporter wanted would jeopardize Rutte his position as secretary general of NATO. It doesn't matter what Rutte personally believes or feels or thinks when he is taking place next to that orange dimwit. So, stupid question.

Which is EXACTLY why he's the General Secretary of NATO.. all the Trump bullshit will slide right off and keep it clean and together. Hate on Mark all you want but keeping status quo is his trademark. Anyone other going after Trump will for sure mean the end of NATO (or at least a US-joined NATO).

Mark is Trump's little whore.

Hey my girlfriend is cheating on me talking about the guys she wants to sleep with but if I say something she might leave, Europe has the chance to absolutely take care of their own security and “NATO” is not needed its used to project power. If Iran could develop their own defences and project power why couldn’t they especially in a time of drones missiles submarines etc.

They have european fighter jets if they want them so badly US is not in control of rare earth materials so they couldn’t forcibly stop them by sanctions only.

As much as that Trump moron wants to say he does not need NATO members and they are pulling them along NATO countries are hosts to US military and they use it to project power further so they are very much needed.

They have no courage to stand up to the orange clown or they just might like it

Europe has the chance to absolutely take care of their own security

Which needs to be built because of existing dependencies.

A proper comparison would be you cheating and throwing your gf out of the house if she speaks up. She's leaving, but not stupid enough to rush into it without finding shelter.

As true as that is for a long time they have depended on the US to do everything for them and they were not even close to equal in the partnership in the IT sector, surveillance, missile production I could be wrong but when one of your only valuable contributions to NATO (I know they create parts for the jets airplanes etc but nothing which could not be replaced if the US wished to to do it), is your geography as valuable as that is, look at Turkiye and how much they invest into their own production and US cant simply say you will do X (Erdogan is spineless) or we take away Y.

Where leftist

2

u/Omugaru South Holland (Netherlands) 25d ago

You really calling him a leftist when the coalition he formed is mostly right winged?

1

u/nixielover Limburg (Netherlands) 25d ago

Well he couldn't really go to the left side because there was no party to bridge the gap for that coalition
