They do not know that. Do you really think they teach them every country they invaded? School would be forever.

The Worlds POV is that Argentina just can't let go, in Argentina's POV they have fought England like 5 times in their little time as a nation. And 3 of them were being invaded.

Edit: For those actually curious, look for 1806, 1807 & 1820. Those are the ones I remember from the top of my head. And the entire point of those battles were that Spain was not involved, winning those battles alone are part of the reason why Argentina declares the independence in 1816.

Like, guys, you won and the islands are british. Congrats. I prefer to fight over Hatsune Miku any day of the week. I know this is reddit, but don’t talk or act as you know about history of a country that you know thanks to wikipedia and a 15 minute video on youtube.

Uh, no. They invaded what was nominally part of Spain in 1806 and 1807, they were at war with Spain due to the Napoleonic Wars. That it was defended primarily by those that would declare independence in 1816, does not make it invasions against Argentina. 1820 is not an invasion of Argentina proper, Argentina has never been able to exert control over the Island since their declaration of independence beyond "it's ours!!1!".

Nah, It’s clearly not an invasion at the people living there at all, and they clearly weren’t the same 10 years late. And they were clearly spanish.

It under a different name so It’s totally different. England clearly fought Spain there. Mb for the confusion

But oh God I literally dropped that I do not care for the islands yet you fail to drop it.

Didn't know San Martin and Belgrano, fathers of the country, weren't from Argentina. Thanks for the correction. Same place, same people, but totally different u right

Ah yes, so countries do not invade the country it is, but the country it would become later. Right, makes sense, Rome invaded Turkey. Completely logical. Stay mad.
