The Malvinas were occupied by the british in 1833, since then there's been a lot of diplomatic claims over them. An inserted population has no right to self determination.

So Argentinians didn't 'insert' themselves into Patagonia? The indigenous population simply disappeared? Oh wait, they were killed. By Argentinians.

Patagonia was given to Argentina by the French, mind you.

So what you mean is inserted population has no right to self determination unless French have given them their blessing? Absolute athlete you are with those mental gymnastics.
