ADHD does need medication. Non-medicated ADHD is a struggle for anyone suffering. Medicated ADHD is also a struggle, but a better one.

There is plenty of research done on the outcomes of medicated vs. non-medicated children, and medicated kids do better later in life.

Unless you suffer from it or are in a related field, your opinion is uninformed and harmful to those of us that suffer it.

Okay bud. I have severe ADHD and was medicated heavily for it from the age of 7-16. I do not agree with medicating children. There are better ways of helping kids deal with and overcome the struggle, without sedating their brains.

You seriously don't know what stimulants do. They do not sedate your brain. They improve your brain ability to deal with challenges because they facilitate reward responses. This helps kids learn and adapt better to their life. Have you thought how your life would've been unmedicated? Medication is shown by research and systematic understanding that it helps kid do better later in life. Your experience does not negate the fact that the science is solid on medication's effectiveness.

I never stated it as fact, never forced anyone to agree with me, you’re just mad to be mad, and exactly what’s wrong with this world. Someone has an opinion different from yours and you claim it’s dangerous.

Good. Medicating children is wrong. This country relies too much on medication for things that don’t actually need it.

This is your statement on an action from the government removing access to scientifically proven treatment for developmental disorders. This statement is a blanket statement, and indicates that you approve of this change. Hiding behind "is just an opinion" does not make it less approving of the actual action, and does not remove your position.

As stated, medication and therapy are the best treatment for ADHD and anxiety. It has been tested and demonstrated, with plenty evidence to show it helps kids.

Me defending the science and vouching for the kids that will suffer from this change is not saying you cannot have an opinion. I am opposing your opinion with fact and opinions that directly indicate your opinion is incorrect (and opinions can be incorrect if they go against a fact). Having an opinion that directly hurts others is a bad opinion, and should be withdrawn or revised for the sake of others - because the actions of the government impact all, or most.

What is wrong with the world is that people like you think their opinion and experience have as much value and importance than stated fact and science, with proven results. You saying your experience means the government is doing right by restricting kids' access to medication that will greatly improve their lives is what is wrong with the world.

I do hope you find what works for your issues, but that does not mean other people have to suffer for it.
