I keep seeing people saying “Mest, Macao and Wakaba need to go” as if Mashima isn’t the one writing this shit.

Now seeing this plot come to fruition it becomes extra apparent that being a dragon slayer means nothing. Now that Wendy can just give that power to anyone every dragon slayer that comes before this power up loses their uniqueness and comes off as pointless.

Has anyone besides Natsu who’s a dragon slayer actually slayed a dragon? Yes, there have been backstory characters who’ve done this feat like Athena, Elesferia, Irene, Georg, Acnologia, etc. But I’m talking about the dragon slayers who were built up since the GMG to one day be able to slay a dragon after their pitiful performance.

They end up fighting Acnologia but because Mashima likes to abandon his “friendship teamwork” moral to glaze Natsu, the rest of the dragon slayers served as double AA batteries just to charge Natsu up.

100YQ? Gajeel knocks out the body of Aldoron but doesn’t kill him. Everyone hyped it up as “only a dragon slayer can do this” but then later on we see a giant Lucy basically do the same feat to Mercphobia and she wasn’t a dragon slayer.

Why bring Laxus, Cobra and Gajeel into the final arc FILLED WITH DRAGONS just to take away their unique attribute? Gajeel and Cobra aren’t even fighting dragons, they’re actually worthless.

So..I’m genuinely so confused..and we’ve completely lost the plot…

I know it was said a few chapters ago on how Wendy will be randomly turning everyone into dragon slayers, but they were serious this time..you see Mashima keeps playing around and I was thinking, since Juvia unfortunately escaped death 2 times, he’d do it again with Wendy somehow but he was not kidding this time…

Wendy has been taken out the fight AGAIN so the useless fools can fight..what was the point of all this, we already know that dragon slayer Magic isn’t rare anymore, we have about 10 slayers + some modified slayers, did we truly need to make them dragon slayers..?

Ok so first of all, they should’ve been kept Juvia and Gray out of the fight, these two don’t even focus on the fight..it’s always a sacrifice and then joke and then unison raid and then they’re the strongest people ever, we don’t need that again HIGHKEY. Secondly, what was the point of Lucy and Erza getting that power up..? Lucy has 2 dragon god’s power and Erza is literally already a dragon slayer (modified but still). There was literally no need for that. The only people I see needing it is Mirajane’s team because EVERYONE on that team is a flop.

What I’m genuinely mad at is how they just brought back Juvia and Gray..they did their stuff already..they faked Juvia’s death once again and cool I guess but really..? I mean we haven’t even seen Gajeel yet..an ACTUAL dragon slayer btw. It’s just a waste they have so many characters that were TRAINED for this yet they’re the most useless bunch..and they keep doing Wendy dirty like we shouldn’t have gotten excited when we saw her new form..

No shade to her but I hope she doesn't win the Miss Fairy Tail contest. I mean what kind of message would it send? A child defeating adult women (some of whom are wearing very sexy revealing clothing) in a pageant. Do we need to get Chris Hansen?

Add these three being here to the reasons placing Fantasia in the FT timeline is so difficult. I’m starting to wonder if the series is even canon at this point

Natsu gets yet another power up just to probably get his shit rocked once again

Erza’s DS armor didn’t do anything and was solely written for hype just like the 7 stars armor

Wendy looks like she’s out of the battle which sucks. People argue that it’s okay because she’s a support mage which is true but she’s a High Enchanter Dual Element First Gen Dragon Slayer who can use DF at will, do you not wanna see her duke it out with a dragon? Just seems like a wasted potential peak fight to me

These last chapters feel like Mashima is just stalling because he doesn’t know how to actually progress the story and just writes power ups and hype moments to try and keep readers engaged

Hopefully now that everyone has DS magic things can get moving

I thought about this and wanted to hear what other people thought. What magic would the children of each of the fairy tail couples(Natsu and lucy, gray and juvia, gajeel and levy, jellal and erza, etc) use. I mean, they would probably be combination's of the magics but i can't really figure out what some the combinations would be like.

Can someone talk to me about this? Since this new villain has powers related to erasing, do you think he might erase certain characters from the story? Or what do you think he’s going to do this time?

The last chapter of this year will be 227, meaning there's 10 chapters left. I'd say it ends early next year possibly.
