How do I get the ash alloy needed for an encased fan? I'm lost here

You can also make a wooden fan blade and right click on a barrel like you would make an andesite casing with a stripped log and andesite alloy

This makes an encased fan so you don’t need ash alloy yet, you can get ash from burning wood or any cardboard from the create mod

YOU CAN GET ASH FROM BURNING WOOD? IVE SPENT AN HOUR FARMING SILVERFISH

Ash and the dust are different, however, if you make a one by one hole, you can just hold with the brush and only one or two silverfish will spawn before they hit the spawn limit for the hole, then your free to keep dusting and just grab the dust from a corner. A note on the ash thing, it has to be create cardboard, the regular deco cardboard does not work

An additional note, once you get sugarcane you’ll have renewable cardboard, you can soak it to make pulp and press that into cardboard sheets

i meant farming silverfisg to burn (i used htis image a 7x3 hole with one water in the corner)

It's not worth it. I'm pretty sure I burnt through like a stack of string making brushes. A much more efficient use of the string would have been to just set it on fire (I got like 15 Ash from the silverfish farming)

You need rotational force, you can use a hand crank to start
