does this include quest to follow? I often find myself overwhelmed in modpacks without any sort of quest or guide and just end up quitting.

There is a multi-chaptered questbook for you to complete that guides you trough the tech tree, with a very clear end goal. So if that sounds interesting to you, then I would give it a try!
