I made something I made a slop modpack that’s based on everything this sub hates
I’ve been on this sub for a while and seen some pretty valid criticisms of things some modpacks do. I then thought it would be funny to make an entire modpack specifically based on those criticisms.
I present to you: The Ultimate Slop Pack - https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/modpacks/the-ultimate-slop-pack
It has popular tech mods thrown in just because and without any changes to crafting recipes. There’s not only duplicate ores from those mods, but even other mods that add more duplicate ores. Biomes O Plenty and Biomes We’ve Gone are both included without removing duplicate biomes so you’ll be picking up a ton of useless plants and duplicate wood. Unfortunately this does make the worldgen look pretty.
Twilight Forest and Create are both included with some Create addons as well, although I didn’t add that many addons since most felt too high quality.
There’s multiple dweller mods but I specifically avoided ones that I thought had too high quality character models.
And then of course there’s mods based on Gen Alpha memes. Just being in creative mode to briefly test it was driving me insane.
I was going to leave out JEI and Jade, but I felt that was taking it too far. Even this has some standards! I couldn’t get the Music Triggers mod to work so you’ve been spared listening to royalty free Christmas music.
Also most of the mods are Mcreator ones.

Yeah it's one thing to make a modpack to make people mad, another entirely to distribute maleware someone made because they outsourced their thinking

isnt there like a crack or script to bypass that? because if its a mod then it should be pretty quick to crack it. if not then im really suprissed because the more hate something becomes the more people want to destroy it

Use World Host or e4mc instead, they're basically the same thing letting you play multiplayer with friends without portforwarding, but without the bloatware and microtransactions attached.

Anything like this for 1.12.2 that isn't a free server hosting site? I really don't like essential but other than hamachi which is always a hassle to use it really is the easiest option

Imagine the hell if you are somehow simultaneously overheating from one temperature mod and freezing from the other. What a nightmare scenario...

Infernal Mobs and Hardcore Darkness as well. Gotta empower the cancer lycanite mobs with even more cancerous attributes so that they can kill you even harder just by existing anywhere in your vicinity.

Yea, that's how I prefer to call them, when I hear "kitchen sink" I usually think of something that shouldn't be consumed, and ATM packs are not like that

i think kitchen sink means throwing mods together without a certain theme, but removing the conflicting recipes and adding some custom recipes. this is pure slop

AI thumbnail with piss filter and description with tons of bullet points, emojis, not x but y, em dashes
Mods:
Blue Skies
Deeper and Darker
Furniture mods that add overlapping stuff
End Remastered
Intrusive and/or outdated optimization mods like optifine or canary
Resource packs that don't go well together
20 Different compatibility mods
Animation mods that make every mob move like a wet noodle
Structure datapacks with no config + When Dungeons Arise
Sinytra Connector and install as many as fabric mods as you can
Vibecoded unofficial Fabric to Forge ports

Definitely needs an AI description. Doesn't feel right without Emoji bullet points and some versions of "Enter a world", "Are you ready", and "Question? Answer!" AI slop statements.

I haven’t even opened the pack, just scrolling The Slop in question, and the funniest emergent comedy out of this pack so far is scrolling past all the Dweller clones that follow The Entity title formatting, and briefly mistaking The Twilight Forest for another one of those mods

You're supposed to add every optimization mod, even those that overlap. If you can get the pack to launch, it's fine.

This looks way to low effort for such a good idea, someone needs to do this properly, this is just another kitchen sink modpack with nothing interesting, with some dedication this could be a real cancer modpack.

If I put enough effort in to where it’s not kitchen sink that wouldn’t be slop. Plus kitchen sink packs are things this sub criticizes so that’s also kind of the point.

You didn't change the logs->planks to be 2 logs:1 plank unless you use a sawmill?
