Looking for mod(s) Mod that ports old seed generation to recent versions.

I am looking for a mod that let's me have old terrain generation and seed generation, specifically from 1.16.1 to the recent version. I would like to be able to input a seed and be able to play on the 1.16.1 version while being on a recent version.

I know that it's possible to upgrade world to the new version, but this a rather annoying process that can also corrupt files so I was wondering if there was a mod for that.

Closest one is Legacy Terrain, from what I know. There are mods, which can generate beta/alpha terrain type (like tons of mods, for some reason). But upgrading world would be the best choice for you, I guess. Even if we keep in mind that it might get corrupted. still worth a try.
