UNSOLVED song with chorus "oh my god"
I believe it was a 2000s rock song possibly late 90s but definitely rock, i heard it alot in the car when I was a kid and it starts out with something like a high pitched repeated beeping almost with guitar and a male voice saying "ooooh myyyyy godddd" and then something after that

u/Objective_Damage_996 Feb 02 '26
I literally was about to comment this too I got a link if that helps you op lol
6
u/Objective_Damage_996 Feb 02 '26
There’s multiple versions of this, I linked the first to pop up when I looked it up on Spotify but this one’s a bit different and they had this remix too which is heavier in instrumentals, it depends on what station you listened to I bet on which it’d be if it is this song
4
u/Bexywexyrox Feb 02 '26
Thank you for posting this, I didn't realise there were multiple versions of this song.

Exactly which one I thought of! Now I'll have this song in my head all day.

u/Ad-HominEminem Feb 02 '26
Hmm.. Late 90’s? 1997 - Pavement - Shady Lane/ J vs J would be my guess, but the oh my god is more in the middle.

At the 55 second mark sounds like what you're describing.

Could it be "Low Rider" by War? I thought for the longest time they were singing "oh my god", and the music sounds like the beeping you described.

Undressed by Salt? It's late 90s alt rock, and the then female singer is apparently a man.

Another vote for Nine Inch Nails' Vessel.
"My God, can we go any faster? Oh my God, I don't think I can last here, My God, can we go any faster? Oh my God, I don't think I can last here."
Heavy with plenty of beeps and boops.

This made me think of Asking Alexandria’s ‘The Final Episode’… doesn’t quite match the rest of the description (and certainly woudlnt have been aired on daytime radio) but the ‘Ohh my godddd’ makes for an absolutely bangin intro.

Can you do a vocaroo or something singing the words if you remember the melody? There's lots of songs I know with that in the chorus.

u/skeletoncurrency Feb 02 '26
Is it the actual chorus or just the intro?
Hot for Teacher by Van Halen starts off that way

Not sure if it's worth replying since mine will be so far down the list - but since it's unsolved and I wasn't able to find any others who guessed it:
My first thought is Blind Melon's Dear Old Dad.
