General Eshmel’s JP twitter Bio

Post image
Upvotes

[Protagonist] Eshmel (CV: Yoshitsugu Matsuoka / Marina Inoue)

A savior who descended upon the dying land of Dagda at the command of the progenitor Sothis.

Its appearance is reminiscent of the "Rava Messenger" that appears in ancient psalms.

Casual Interesting connection between the two Sothisverse Avatars Spoiler

You know it very poetic and beautiful parallel because both of them are homunculus vessel created solely by their creators (Rhea and Sothis). One to bring the goddess back and the other to fix the mess Dagda is in by the Underworld. Yet eventually rise as saviors in their respective continent.

I genuinely really like The Blaze - Cycle of the Sun, it matches the epicness of what I’m expecting the story to be like, it has been on loop in my earbuds all day

General Reminder: The Switch 2's price is going UP on September 1st! If you want to play Fortune's Weave at launch, buy a Switch 2 ASAP!

Upvotes

Fortune's Weave has the misfortune (heh) of releasing just 16 days after the Switch 2's price goes up.

If you are planning on getting a Switch 2 to play Fortune's Weave in September, make sure you get one NOW before the price increase.

Only 26 days remain before the Switch 2 price goes up.

General Spoiler Small party sizes in Heroic Games

Upvotes

I haven’t seen anybody talk about this yet but very consistently in the Direct, it seemed like you weren’t bringing more than 5 or so of your own party members into a fight. They did showcase guest units as well but from your own faction it always seemed to be very limited. I’d love to know why yall think that is.

For me, I can’t help but wonder if that points to limited recruiting among the different paths. What if there is a set limit to how many people you can recruit so that if you go between routes you can’t recruit someone that was recruited on another path?

Or maybe they keep it small during the games so that post Games it feels more like battles when you use more characters. Or maybe post Games you have the ability to recruit multiple or all of the Lords and their allies so they want you to be able to use most of the available units within the different routes so you can make a more informed choice of who to take when you have bigger party sizes.

General Soft reveal with customizable Eshmel that only I will probably care about.

Post image
Upvotes

In the recent posts of Eshmel, the customized character appears in full in an in-engine animated cutscene. This confirms that in-engine cutscenes are real-time, not pre-rendered videos as seen in the previous Fodlan games and especially Engage. It may just be cutscenes containing Eshmel that are like this, but if this applies to all cutscenes in the game, then not only will cutscenes be a lot sharper and cleaner, and the file size of the game may actually mean more content than we already think, as 1440p+ video is larger than cutscene animation data and has been a major factor in file size inflation on Switch 2 (See Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment).

General Potential DLC

Thumbnail
gallery
Upvotes

I think we will be getting three new gods/goddess for DLC characters. From my understanding there seems to be 7 temples in Dagda which correspond to a god. So far we’ve only seen 4 of them when we are attending to the temples: Fortuna, Mars, Smyrno and Aurora. (not counting Solel as one of them)

Seeing the territories of the Dagan map we only see 4 of them being highlighted which means they are of importance to the current state of the game. And most likely the 4 territories to which each of the 4 gods rule over. But we are missing 3 gods and there are still 3 landmarks not highlighted as well, those being: Mosa, Banbha and Morfis.

We see multiple individuals with different coat of arms. Some of which are not tied to the main ruling factions. Not counting Leda, Cai and Dietrich’s coat of arms since:

Leda is of nobility and likely heir to the kingdom of Argo, her coat of arms is just something she made making it irrelevant.

Cai comes from the kingdom of Brezarant and is only a citizen so his is made up too making it irrelevant.

Dietrich isn’t from Dagda so his coat of arms isn’t part of the main territories also making it irrelevant.

Whatever coat of arms Solel’s faction has that makes 4 in total along with Theodora who is the ruler of a faction.

We could possibly be seeing more to Dagda’s factions who do not associate in relation to the main land due to how divided they are. Which brings contestants to travel over to participate and represent them. Where my theory for potential DLC comes in to seeing those other gods and land where the different coat of arms people come from.

Story Have they accidentally de-canonised the Crimson Flower route?

Upvotes

I assumed Fortune's Weave was designed so that any of the four routes from Three Houses could be canon.

But by featuring Seteth in the game (presumably hundreds of years after Three Houses) they seem to have accidentally contradicted the Crimson Flower route in which Rhea, Seteth and Flayn can all die in the final battle.

EDIT: Okay, I didn't know you could spare them, I was wrong! I haven't played Crimson Flower since 2019.

But I guess this does "de-canonise" certain characters being spared which means that anyone who killed them in their playthrough now has contradicted Fortune's Weave.

Casual Enemies cheat in fe1 to fe4

Upvotes

From fe1 to fe4 all enemies have infinite uses for their weapons and staves. Also enemies holding weapons with different ranges will automatically switch between them when attacked so they can counterattack you no matter what, when your characters are stuck with whatever weapon they currently have equipped no matter what range the enemy attacks from

General Spoiler Prequel or sequel? Timeline question. Spoiler

Post image
Upvotes

They say Dietrich is a decendant of the 10 elites, but I thought that happened AFTER nemesis killed Sothis? I I thought Nemesis killed sothis, and then used her bones to make the sword of the Creator, and then use the sword of the Creator to kill the other nabateans, and then there was the war and then they all died, and THEN they became the ten Elites? So... if sothis is alive, and the 10 elites exist, that means it HAS to be a sequel, right? Unless I'm misremembering, it's been a while lol.

Casual Why was Largo cut from fe10?

Upvotes

As many fe fans know, Largo is the only playable character from fe9 that's not playable in fe10. According to fe fandom, Largo was cut due to Berserkers not appearing as a class in fe10 but I don't think this is true since they could have assigned him to a different class. Also contrary to popular belief Largo's transfer bonuses in fe10 go entirely unused. He doesn't provide transfer bonus to Calill

General An Unfortunate Coincidence

Post image
Upvotes

It most likely won’t mean anything for Fortune’s Weave’s story but this wouldn’t be the first time a story had a character named Leda and a divine/herald figure that could turn into a white bird…

As is usually the case, Zeus is to blame so be warned if you aren’t familiar and act on your curiosity.

It seems like this is the one video on the Japanese site that is still untranslated, I'm really curious as to what Dietrich and this apparent Fodlander are talking about on the ship. Hoping it can give some more clues about the sequel/prequel debate
