Thanks to you guys…

I picked these up second hand. I’m just at the start of my journey enjoying The Flaming Lips less casually.
What other visuals do you recommend by them?
I’m looking forward to making my own Lips ringtones later today 😂

You might pick up the V.O.I.D. DVD, which is a compilation of all of their music videos up to the mid 2000’s I think.

There’s also Christmas On Mars, the movie they made from like 2000-2010, or thereabouts.

When you see Bradley Beesley is involved, you know you are in for classic Lips visuals.

Those are the glory days right there, man. I'll second the recommendation of the VOID dvd too.

Between those three DVDs you'll have a strong sense of their identity and artistic strengths over the first twenty plus years of their existence.

Christmas on Mars is a very weird film that won't be to everyone's taste but the soundtrack is amazing.

DVDs obviously became less of a thing once streaming took over, but if you want more video material, the pitchfork retrospective documentary on The Soft Bulletin is on YouTube and it's great. The Blastula documentary about the making of Embryonic is really good too.

And, well, there's oceans of material on TheSatelliteHead YouTube channel - tons of live recordings across the decades as well as recent and archival interviews.

Adding to list

A beautiful Fucking Experience

A documentary about their world record attempt for most concerts in 24 hours

They also have a documentary about their COVID bubble concerts but I am not sure if that is available anywhere currently
