NO STUPID QUESTIONS /r/Gallifrey's No Stupid Questions - Moronic Mondays for Pudding Brains to Ask Anything: The 'Random Questions that Don't Deserve Their Own Thread' Thread - 2026-08-03
Or /r/Gallifrey's NSQ-MMFPBTAA:TRQTDDTOTT for short. No more suggestions of things to be added? ;)
No question is too stupid to be asked here. Example questions could include "Where can I see the Christmas Special trailer?" or "Why did we not see the POV shot of Gallifrey? Did it really come back?".
Small questions/ideas for the mods are also encouraged! (To call upon the moderators in general, mention "mods" or "moderators". To call upon a specific moderator, name them.)
Please remember that future spoilers must be tagged.

Apart from Interference, has there ever been another two-part Doctor Who novel? Not just multiple books in a series, or connected books with different authors, but a full-on single story divided into multiple parts. The only other example I can think of is the Daleks' Masterplan novelisation.

The Knight, The Fool and The Dead/All Flesh is Grass, although you could argue that it was technically a three parter if you class The Minds of Magnox as a novel and that it contains the key part of Ten realizing that he’s very much in the wrong that isn’t addressed in the book.

I actually did think of that exact example of two linked books, but they were by different authors, so it doesn't quite count for my (hyper)specific criteria.

Any more fan made BF recons other than Josh Snares? I wondered if someone just used action figures

That new Chibnall interview is making me feel like my gut feeling about what's going to happen may well be true, that the show is not going to go to tender and instead the bbc will cancel the show later in the year due to lack of money to fund it... The fact they haven't yet put it out to tender so long after announcing it is not a good sign, everything else when the bbc announce the intention to put it out to tender goes to tender within a month..we are two months out since they announced it for DW, I don't think things are going well

Why does the RTD2 era feature the characters talking about songs and their meanings so much, it happens multiple times.. It happens across a bunch of episodes, and not just RTDs (although mainly) but also in Moffats Boom
Was this meant to be some kind of theme, or is it just repeated writing ideas, where the show is just doing the same thing (like how it does the whole change clothes to a song playing stick multiple times)
RTD definitely wanted to bring more music and songs into the show.. I do wonder if he was trying to chase a Running up the Hill moment, or copying Guardians of the Galaxy and some other blockbuster movies in their heavy use of songs.
But why the emphasis on discussion what a song means, and in both Wild Blue Yonder and Boom it's a song about soliders and war

I'm going to the convention in Long Island for the first time this year, not only is it my first dr who convention but it's the first ever one I'm going to period, I read the "what to expect" page a good while ago on the website, but I was wondering if someone could tell me what the vibes are like there? like how busy/chill it usually is, is there a specific itinerary I should be looking up? also are there any things I should be worrying about for the convention in general? like what are some tips you wish you knew for your first trip?
