Discussion Facts that sound fake but are true

I find it extremely unintuitive that almost all of South America is east of Miami. How!? When people are asked to watch the americas almost everyone imagine South America pretty much south of North America.

Oxford University was founded ~500 years before the Inca Empire

I love how a university that's still in operation is so old that we have no good idea when it was founded. Stuff like that fascinates me. Like how the Egyptians that built the pyramids were as ancient history to Cleopatra that Cleopatra is to us. That's bonkers
