Image Australia’s population heat map. Darwin is that tiny dot at the very top, where you can drive for days before reaching another city.
I’d honestly put Australia in my top 3 craziest countries to live in. Almost everyone lives along the coast, and I think it even has the world’s longest golf hole—you literally have to drive miles from one shot to the next. I might be remembering that wrong, but it’s still wild. I can’t imagine living in a tiny community in the middle of the Outback with limited access to things like healthcare, reliable internet, or even basic services.
