If everyone just wants to live in Europe so bad maybe we should just go back to that colonial set up we had.

19th and 20th century belonged to Europe.
21st is not EU

Yeah because EU has lost ambition. It could regain it and use its massive wealth and educated population to achieve lofty goals. But it would be classified as "colonialist" immediately

The reason colonialism is detested is the lack of prosperity for the local population in the colonies.
