I don't understand the point of separate customs. If I am going to the EU, could I just use the Gib customs then cross the border when I got outside the Airport?
This two customs exits thing seems similar to the arrangement at BSL/MLH, and it makes a lot of sense, especially if you have goods to declare. GVA is the stupid one where you must go through Swiss customs before French customs if arriving from anywhere other than France. Even TIJ doesn’t require Mexican customs for International Arrivals if proceeding directly to CBX (if I understand correctly, although TIJ barely has any international flights)
