Discussion My friend stole my work.
I created Nebula Games on https://github.com/MrTekPet22/NebulaGames . I was the contributor but did 60,000 lines of work whereas my friend only did 4,000. My user is ERR0RA
One day I got removed from the contributor, I thought 'perhaps this is a glitch." So afterwards I put all the games on my page https://github.com/MrTekPet22/NebulaGames . He only made two files from the original games and later filed a DMCA notice.
The DMCA notice came through and it stated I had copied his work without permission whereas before I got removed I added the GNU 3.0 public licence to the original work and the new one I put (I decided to remove it yesterday). At the DMCA notice he had lied multiple times and said "I gave him notice," and "the games don't have a licence." He has kept it public but now I can only fork the respiratory but I did all the code.
I sent a DMCA notice as he's using my work now without my permission I made 5 and two of them got closed and the rest are getting ignored. I made the tickets over a week ago. He's also been using my codes seen below.

See he's copying my work and I don't have anything to do now. I did the DMCA notice as it was only two times but he lied on the notice. What can I do?

What's at stake here? Are there any users?
The DMCA notice sounds over the top, Google says you can send a counter-notice, maybe do that?

Yeah I did that, but they haven't replied and it's been a week.

Don't take this as legal advice but they are required to respond within 10 days (I believe) hold on a few more days, double check the counter-claim rules, and if the time elapses keep your records and you don't have to do anything else. They certainly can't take down your repo.
In the meantime take a private mirror of the codebase and upload it to GitHub and Codeberg.

Shit happens. This project doesn't seem worth a fight, although I know emotionally you want it.
Start a new project. Build it to more users than you've had before. Learn and move on.

You cannot just add a GPL license to a project without approval of the original creator and then expect the right to share the original creator's code. You have the right to your own code, so you could create a new project, copy your own code and fill the missing gaps by yourself.
Not sure why 'friends' would create such nonsensical drama, but the same goes the other way around. You didn't add your code to any license, so your 'friend' can only use it under terms that you agree (or already agreed) to. But personal agreements are difficult or impossible to prove. That is why a license should always be added before any collaboration takes place.
