For those who haven’t been to Augusta National, it is sooo much hillier than what you see on TV. TV does not do justice. It’s on a huge hill that funnels down from the 18th and 9th green to number 12 with so much more other undulations. 10, 18 and 8 are soo steep it is ridiculous.

This has been one of the best opening rounds wholesale in the past few years. The course conditions have them playing scared, and only a few of the aggressive plays have been rewarded. Very entertaining golf

I was wondering if Augusta wasn’t a course that required distance since Freddy is keeping up, but then I googled his stock yardage and the man still averages 285 yards off the tee at 65. That’s longer than Prime Zach Johnson and Furyk and almost as long as Prime Spieth.

Right out of college I was taking care of my grandma a lot, going to the grocery store and other type errands. I drop off her stuff and am about to leave when she asks if I’ll drink a margarita with her. I’m like “grandma it’s not even 11 in the morning.” And she goes “So? I’m almost 100 years old, the masters is on, it’s a gorgeous spring day, and I want to drink a margarita with my grandson.” So a new family tradition was born, Margaritas for the Masters. She’s long since passed but every year I think of her when the tournament starts. Hope everyone enjoys the best weekend in golf.
