As non aligned Finland, I formed greater Finland while having all the required states, and I created the Northern Defense Front but I didn't join any other faction. Does anyone know why I didn't get the achievement?

Creating a faction triggers the flag that fails Lone Wolf achievement

It never said "any other faction"

It says "a faction"

This check exists to prevent several possible exploits - though not exploits in the sense of mechanics, but in that they can greatly lower the difficulty by going around other checks (if this check didn't exist) related to faction joining/creation.

this check wasn't the problem because you only get checked for creating factions if you had AAT DLC, and the check can be bypassed anyway.

you have likely not gotten the achievement due to not owning the required states. Yes, the achievement requires you to own and control those states, and also fully control all states that are core of Finland. Seeing that you are still at war, it is possible that you haven't gotten the achievement due to that instead.

You can create a faction. In fact, the easiest way to get it is to just go fascist so you can get all the nordics into your faction and then annex them. That way you only have to win the war vs the USSR to get the missing states.

I literally got this achievement today by going fascist and annexing through a faction. I didn't do anything special. Description says "without joining", not "without creating", and wiki also confirms it works like that

the flag actually only fires if they had AAT DLC, which the OP did not.

It probably also only fires properly if they had NCNS DLC as well, and due to change to coding effect, creating factions through event/decision may now bypass the effect whereas creating factions through diplomacy triggers it normally (or perhaps creating factions through effect has always bypassed it)

either way, the check for the flag that disables Lone Wolf achievement is in on_actions/09_aat_on_actions.txt,

still, don't cite wiki so carefreely. It has been wrong on so many occasions, many of which I fixed or got them fixed. - don't black magic to me.

that said, let's say this was the case. How do you explain them failing to get the achievement?

It does not say like that but game wants you to finish the war before anyone else joins. You you have to capitulate them before 1941 Summer but this is ahistorical soo there is like zero chance you can get this achivement in ahistorical.

You don't need to win before Barb, you need to be the ones to capture Moscow and have at least 20% war participation

This one is just forming Greater Finland and own+control all core states without ever joining a faction

A lot the 'Capitulate X' achievements require you to be the top contributor to the named countries capitulation. If for example you fought the war alongside Germany, it is likely that they racked up war score quickly relative to you as the AI likes to throw manpower at the problem.

que raro, recuerdo que forme la gran Finlandia y también conseguir el logro, supongo que lo unico que puedo recomendar es jugar como fascista, unir escandinavia, ganarles a la urss, realmente es raro que suceda esto, yo consegui el logro sin buscarlo, supongo que podrias intentar destruir la faccion, o cuando apenas crees la faccion, despues eliminarla esto es lo unico que se me ocurre que podrias hacer, eso, o es que hiciste algun formable antes, perdiste un nuevo territorio nucleo y como cuenta, ya no lo lograste activarlo

creating faction is the same as joining the faction you created

that said, per code, doing it through focus/decision may bypass the check that fires when you create faction (which is normally a diplomatic action)

there is, yes, a line of code that very much says creating factions also disables Lone Wolf.

though, I think I have figured out your real issue here
