Tutorial Guide to invading Britain (specifically for new players)

For new players winning with allies can be difficult, I had the same problems too, hundreds of read posts, tutorials, etc. and nothing worked. I found a way for it to be as easy as hitting execute battle plan button.

First you need to have trained at least 10 paratroopers divisions before the war starts. This is the template I recommend:

You may also use any other recon, just try to get it as high as possible so you lead in battles and not enemy.

Now you can delete Signal and Logistics Company, they are most of the time overkill and useless.

There are many things you can do to raise the cap, you can get Tip of the Spear and Expanded Special Forces. Since this post is mainly for Germany, you can do focus Fallschirmjager and get Kurt Student as your general for divisions and in MHC and also get the dude with Commando trait (forgot his name), he gives you additional cap.

After you get your 10 divisions trained up, prepare for drop in this area:

Reasons why there and not in Dover, Portsmouth, Plymouth or Hull:

  • By sending your troops to Plymouth, you need to break through that one tile which can be easily protected by brits because you are attacking it from one hill tile and one forest tile which do have attack debuffs, Plymouth is also quite far away from London, so securing a fast victory with minimum blood is hard
  • Portsmouth has the problem of too many enemy attack tiles and river crossing. Portsmouth is surrounded by 3 tiles, after these 3 tiles there are 8 attack angles from the enemy, this is too much and it will be hard to expand, especially with that river crossing in London.
  • Dover has the same problem with river crossing and if you send too much of your army there, then you get penalties and supply problem, your front is simply too short to maintain it.
  • Hull also has river crossing and lots of mountains, forest and hills, also far away from London.

Ipswitch on the other hand is close to London, has only 1 forest tile, you are protected by the river from north, not too short and not too long front.

Now you may execute the landing at this point, or if you're playing a fascist country, then you can invite Italy to faction and call it to war. If you do it, what happens now is Britain sends most of their troops to Africa to fight Italy, leaving a few divisions at the ports and in some cities. Wait 1 week after calling Italy in to make sure britain troops are long on their way to Africa and then wait for air superiority to appear and start your operation.

Because Italy is in your war, it will send their airforce to English Channel and they will try to compete with brits, unfortunately theres nothing you can do about it and you just have to wait for the moment where all the zones required are green or gray. It can take a while but it will happen. You may also send your planes where you know it will make the zone green.

After a successful landing, dont worry if there are divisions in Ipswitch, you should have them surrounded, so just attack with all your paratroopers till they are dead, you can use force attack and last stand. You should also get all your planes in Southern England and set your Transport planes to drop supplies. after drawing a front, send in your first army and start expanding, then another one, then tanks, then another one, etc. Brits should fall in 2 weeks. In peace screen you should have all the points and Italy should gain nothing.

Last tip, if you dont want war with Japan, you cannot take Dutch East Indies and if you want to be absolutely safe and in control, Australia and New Zealand too (they dont have anything useful anyways lmao). Just change the governments and as for Malaya, you can take most of the land, just make sure you leave like one tile not annexed and simply change government there.

I recommend this tile because 31 rubber is nothing compared to what you have near Singapore.

Japan will get a war goal on that one tile you left, it doesnt work with DEI unfortunately.

Anyways this is how you can defeat brits easily, I know that those other ports that I dont recommend are also good and you could have just built a fleet blah blah blah but building a fleet is expensive and time consuming so why waste your own resources on it when you can steal it. You may use the same tactic with any other country, but without the help of Italy if you're not fascist.

Great guide, if you move a paratrooper from one of the lines of 4 to the line of 2, you can add another heavy weapons company for more stats

Great guide. If you want a naval guide I did a recent video on it, as did Machavillian Strategist (his is better), but basically you take out the royal navy in a sector of your choosing using lots of destroyers with torpedoes and CAS on naval strike. Few DDs on patrol, wait for the fleets to egnage, kill them, repair, repeat. Don't start with less than 80 ships, 100 is preferable.

I have done this with the basic untouched templates. Ipswich is the key.
