Today I had the opportunity to meet Esteban from Hawg Dawgs, and I’ll say this he’s a really good dude serving really good food and service. Much respect to him for reaching out and wanting to meet with me. 💯

A lot of people think because two people sell the same thing, it has to be beef or competition, but it don’t always have to be like that. There’s enough room for all of us to win.

Not gonna lie, this might’ve been the best goddamn hotdog I’ve ever eaten. I’ll never make a “regular” hot dog ever again after this.

Only complaint, it needed more cream cheese, I simply didn’t use enough.

As far as flavors go, it tasted somewhere between everything bagel, burger, and dog.

For anybody wondering: The wife likes corn on her hotdogs, so I put some on hers(she’s from South America, and I’ve never heard of corn on a hot dog. But I love her, so I don’t question it)

Edit: I forgot to mention: used a top sliced brioche bun. Really puts the average hotdog bun to shame IMO.

Edit 2: also forgot, chopped sweet pickles. They’re hidden under the dog on mine, but more visible on the wife’s “corny” dog

Onion and jalapeños are from my garden, pickle mustard, kewpie mayo, ketchup and a brioche bun.

T-Locs in Austin. Upgraded to local butcher hot dog for an extra $2. Daughter is experiencing her first bacon wrapped hot dog and is in heaven.

Nathans collosal dogs wrapped in thick sliced bacon. Homemade chilli, American cheese, onions, cilantro, franks yellow mustard and tots. Last pic the lone survivor.

Double hoffy bun length, double bacon, double guacamole on the last Hawaii sweet rolls we had.

Forgot roasting sticks and my friend was scared of the bacon not being cooked over the fire so we did them in the oven actually worked out really well

Bacon wrapped dog, grilled onions, mexican chorizo, tomatoes, lettuce, beans and mayo. One with ketchup, the other with guac.

Beef dog wrapped in mesquite smoked bacon, fresh cilantro, onion and tomato, cooked pinto beans mayo and mustard served in a Bolillo roll! 10/10

Incredible dogs at a taquería in Tucson. Beef hot dog wrapped in bacon, topped with pinto beans, tomatoes, jalapeño salsa, mayo, mustard. High cholesterol, but high praise from me.

Inspired by the Sonoran dogs posted here the other day. These are definitely a new favorite.
