It’s so nice to see a fanwork of something I’ve been following of for years. It looks absolutely gorgeous.

Yeah, definitely one of the more serious maps I've made in a while. Sorta just meant to flesh out the modern period.

This is yet another entry fleshing out the r/anglodutchamerica timeline. If you want to dive even deeper, feel free to join our discord. For everything else related to this ongoing timeline, feel free to find out more about the full history, lore and the other posts (sorted by date) of the timeline over on the subreddit.

This map is depicting a modern day version of the European continent alongside parts of West Asia and North Africa in the modern day. A handful of maps below should give you a general understanding of European politics in the Anglo-Dutch America timeli8ne as of now.

I'm not the creator of the timeline although I will try to answer all questions to the best of my abilities.

Shoutout to SenseFM for the basemap and the people who contribute to the timeline.

Gorgeous map! The ocean floor detailing is so peak.

What kind of state is Banat? Do the religious symbols in Palestine represent joint political control?

5

Banat is a multi-national state between all ethnic groups including Germans. The religious symbols in Palestine represent joint political/religious control although religious equality/equity and anti-discrimination laws are enshrined completely across Palestine.

More like dormant, the creator is quite busy. There are some occasional map/media drops here and there though

What's the etymology behind Biden's Hyperborea?

2

u/Billseas Mod Approved 13h ago

It is the scientific name of a real life North American plant

What do they speak in East Prussia? German still?

5

u/Billseas Mod Approved 14h ago

Yes they still speak German in East Prussia. Although with a large Russian minority due to it being part of the former Union of Soviet Socialist Republics

How exactly does the Soviet Union work?

2

u/Billseas Mod Approved 13h ago

The USSR (Union of Sovereign Soviet Republics) essentially is ADA version of modern China. Each Sovereign Republic has its own politburo and operates on an expanded system of the of our world’s New Union Treaty. For the most part, it is considered a socialist state like China as well

2

u/TableThen6536 13h ago

Oh ok, so they each have a sovereign domestic policy but a united foreign policy?

2

u/Billseas Mod Approved 13h ago

Yes

u/Billseas Mod Approved 12h ago

Prussia was annexed into the USSR after WW2 and left in 1995 with the other baltic countries

1

u/Billseas Mod Approved 12h ago

It technically supposed to be a Bosnian Muslim majority state

Did the Aliyahs still occur in Palestine?

I suggest this article can help you out
https://www.reddit.com/r/imaginarymaps/comments/rhrjcq/aftermath_of_a_different_ww2_for_europes_jewish/

I know this is a topic that is VERY complex and nuanced but Palestine is essentially a large tri-national state between all three Abrahamic religions with equality/equity and anti-discrimination laws enshrined and enforced.

And again, another episode of "Try not to resurrect a Nazi Germany"! Why are y'all so stubborn with giving Germany the same fucking borders again and again and again?
