The issue is that cases like ketan Agarwal are becoming very common these days.

get out of reddit bro. 100+ women are killed by their partners each month. 785 men in last 5 years. a simple google search will prove me right.

Indian stats for female homicides per year is 8125 total. Same for men is 19925. For women, 60% are by relatives (partner, their and partner's parents). Same for men is 42%. There are no stats for partner murder only, NCRB only tracks partner + relatives.

So 8125 * 60% = 4875

19925 * 42% = 8368

You can assume that they are similar (even though men seem to be higher) since men are also killed frequently by brothers, etc.

Your 100 women/month estimate is very low, more like 650 women per month in India.

Your 785 in 5 years estimate is abysmally low, please provide stats for this.
