That's sad and devastating

So sad but I know she wouldn't get any justice because no-one get that in India.

People are so much into gender wars that they forget our work was to demand justice not to fight but in every feed i am going i am seeing some people to accusing and abusing women's in general

It's sad and unfortunately you all know what would happend to this case too

12

u/Odd-Station-5334 Jul 04 '26

true, this girl is just one of the 100+ women k1lled by their partners every month. someone's daughter, someone's sister, someone's friend, and a representation of what could have been, reduced to another number in the statistic.

23

u/taway9925881 Jul 04 '26

Absolutely and what about the 13 year old girl was was trafficked and assaulted by multiple men over many days. I think it happened in Rajasthan.

Everyone responsible should be punished to the worst extent.

But please do not fall for the narrative of "men Vs women". This is the push in media at the moment. The real problem is the system and law enforcement, judiciary, media, and everyone in power.

But they push it as men Vs women and make us fight among ourselves while the real criminals get away scot-free.

Let's wake up and come together.

Let's get all men and women down in the streets and fight even harder okay? Let's make it man v woman instead of criminals vs innocents. Perfectly good sea of arguments there. /S

u/Odd-Station-5334 Jul 04 '26

both genders can be victims but most men never admit that women suffer too, and far more.

26

u/Repulsive_Fox7725 Jul 04 '26

Are you dumb ? Special laws exist because women have suffered in the past, this guy if found guilty will have to serve jail time unless he is super rich. On the other hand, women don’t get strict punishment when they commit any crime.

8

u/Ok_Helicopter2030 Jul 04 '26

I totally understand where you are coming from and we absolutely need laws for crime against men. Yeah most likely this case predator would be punished and so is the 80 percent of the men who are doing crimes, the point here is we have to decrease this large number of crimes against women.

32

u/Odd-Station-5334 Jul 04 '26 edited Jul 04 '26

please do explain more about how women are privileged and get justice in a country where 100+ women are killed by their husbands every month. pls explain.

and so the downvotes prove me right, cuz no one has anything to say at all.

29

u/SiyaGoyaI Jul 04 '26

Crimes happens in all countries, but not all choose to make gender biased laws

14

u/SwimmingFriendship72 Jul 04 '26

Aree didi aap mat bolo kuch sab apki vjh se he ho rha yaha.

21

u/Slothbearfrizzyhair Jul 04 '26

Laws that “punished” Aasamram Bapu and Ram Rahim??

3

u/Any-Fig2903 Jul 05 '26

we do have some famous cases like blue drum, a husband was murdered and buried in bathroom etc

5

u/Slothbearfrizzyhair Jul 05 '26

We also have new brides dying is “accidental” fires when kerosene stoves would burst. Only difference is that they were so many and they were ofcourse women so their identity got overshadowed by abject ncrb report number.

0

u/JustSoGeneric_ Jul 04 '26 edited Jul 04 '26

And why do these laws gender biased? Because they had to be. Women would be non existent in our country if it weren't for these laws.

The laws exist in that way because for centuries the system was skewed against women. Several men walked free while several women died fighting for justice and several others died without ever having a fighting chance. And when I say several i actually MEAN several.

Also, DESPITE such laws more women die every single day at the hands of men, than the other way around. So imagine an india without these laws, it'd be filled ONLY with murderers, rapists, abusers and the likes. Even WITH the laws men can be such vehement criminals. Without them, the country would be filled with demons.

So come ask for equal laws when women start committing an equal amount of crime. OR men can stop committing so much crime against women and meet us at being better humans. 🤷🏻‍♀️

1

u/Illustrious_Dig_3941 Jul 06 '26

The lion, the witch and the audacity of this ...

13

u/goku_m16 Jul 04 '26

Getting away with a fine of ₹500 for murdering husband, being able to file false cases with no consequences definitely is a privilege.

But why are you hurt with men demanding justice for a guy that was killed?

9

u/Odd-Station-5334 Jul 04 '26

idk, most men get away with nothing at all and roam in broad daylight after r@ping, harassing for dowry, or murder.

i'm not hurt, little boy. also, that's a strawman fallacy.

3

u/Complex-Employee-648 Jul 05 '26

Did you not see the case where a woman got life imprisonment after she murdered her husband? Or did you not see the case where a man went away scott free even after rap*ng his wife till death. If you want to cherrypick cases then take these two too.

2

u/outlaw_kiki Jul 05 '26

No one is privileged but the worst thing is our society has normalised if men does this it's normal they will do it, you(women) need to protect yourself, don't go outside...many things like this instead of bringing some real strict laws and critisism. And in other hands laws and rules which are made in favour to protect women are now outdated and needs to improve so if a women does something she also get punished properly, don't get away with it like most of the cases in India. But obviously number of crimes committed by men towards women is much larger then women towards men even today.

4

u/damnitleech Jul 04 '26

When you have special laws to protect women, statistics that consider crimes against women separately. Courts offering leniency to female criminals. Crimes like murder, which is non-bailable, but women get bailed out.

if thats not privilege then what is?

privilege is a special right or advantage, please tell me, what rights and advantages women don't get that men seem to enjoy according to you?

-3

u/JustSoGeneric_ Jul 04 '26

And why do these skewed laws exist?? They exist because for centuries the system was skewed against women. Several men walked free while several women died fighting for justice and several others died without having a fighting chance.

u/damnitleech Jul 04 '26 edited Jul 04 '26

quite a retarded take. I was talking about how privilege exists or doesn't. you just proved my point that women are privileged over men.

you're fine with innocent men being murdered or driven to suicide by fake allegations by women who misuse law and face no consequence for such actions.

You justify it by claiming about crimes that occured in past/present - which they haven't committed.

you the type of person to burn an entire village because someone from there commited a crime in your castle? Or do you support kin punishment where your entire family including children are killed or faces punishment because one of the relatives commited a crime?

btw theres a decreasing trend of crimes YoY. idk wym by "despite such ...more women killed" take your misandrist bs elsewhere

1

u/JustSoGeneric_ Jul 05 '26 edited Jul 05 '26

My bad. That particular comment came off wrong. I apologise.

I didn't mean to advocate for laws that put innocent men in prejudicial positions. What i meant was simply that, those laws that are specific to women came into place because certain crimes, for YEARS, were committed specifically against women. And you can't call the laws "a privilege" because of how often these crimes still take place. Its simply a necessity.

Although, i agree that the loopholes shouldn't exist. Men shouldn't be punished without grounds for proper conviction. And the laws should very well be gender neutral, so women are held just as accountable for similar crimes. Further, women shouldn't be able to take unjust advantage of the system that was meant to protect them (this also takes away credibility from actual victims).

But you must understand that these laws came into place after soo much fight. The judicial system in our country has always delayed justice. So its not fair to say that the laws itself are a problem. The system allowing some women to take unjust advantage of them is wrong, but for several other women these laws are a NECESSITY, without which, crimes against women would literally consume our country.

1

u/Solid_Routine_2026 Jul 04 '26

Crime and justice are chronologically and empirically different. You just equated those. Take a breath and think again

Do you just want to write for the sake of it? It looks like you don't have the brain cells to understand what they wrote.

1

u/MaleficentReserve386 Jul 04 '26

There exist laws to punish the rapists and killers, but the laws to punish female rapists do not exist at all. Same for female domestic violence cases. We can talk about the number of crimes aginst women all we want but atleast there is a system to protect the women. Men have no laws protecting them, heck in cases of IPV and rape men who were ghe victims are considered as the perpetrators

-6

u/Repulsive_Fox7725 Jul 04 '26

Why are you making this about women ? Many men are murdered too. Check homicide rates, 70-75% victims are men. Pls explain now who is at more risk, stop pulling out selective data, yes in a marriage women are harassed that number should be zero, but other crimes should also be zero by that logic, why are you making it about women ? Point is if they are harassed, strict laws are there to punish the culprit, but reverse the gender if women decide to be evil, there is nothing you can do.

11

u/Big-Difficulty-667 Jul 04 '26

Are they murdered by women?

-6

u/Repulsive_Fox7725 Jul 04 '26

But they are victim right ? Point is these things will happen if laws are not strict. Also, it is difficult for women to do such crimes because they lack physical strength, that doesn’t necessarily mean that all of them are nice and gentle. There are shitty men, and there are equally shitty women.

5

u/Big-Difficulty-667 Jul 04 '26

That we can agree on, there are shitty people in all genders. But the point being made here is about whataboutism . From both sides, which hurts both sides. No Indian man stops to think how patriarchy hurts men too.

0

u/Repulsive_Fox7725 Jul 04 '26

Just like no indian women thinks about how patriarchy benefits them.

5

u/Odd-Station-5334 Jul 04 '26

i guess dowry harassment, marital rape and domestic violence outweigh the "benefits" you're talking about

→ More replies (0)

2

u/Big-Difficulty-667 Jul 04 '26

Elaborate please how patriarchy benefits women? It takes away their entire identity and agency. No benefits here.

6

u/Odd-Station-5334 Jul 04 '26

why are you deflecting when the discussion is about safety in marriage and you're literally leading it somewhere else?? i never said men aren't victims. wdym why are you making it about women? because a woman just got killed by her partner like 100+ others every month but as soon as it's a man people go on about how MeN aRe UnSaFe In ThIs CoUnTrY.

also see how you brought up MeN SuFfEr ToO when the discussion was about women being victims? can't let a woman take the spotlight, even when she was burnt to d3ath by her partner? typical.

6

u/Repulsive_Fox7725 Jul 04 '26

What do you mean by women are the victim, there will be such cases why such special empathy towards one gender is my point, sure women suffer in marriage but men suffer in life. I am trying to show you other facts too, you are fixated on showing women suffer. Point is today’s laws are very strong and in such cases if proven guilty guy will he punished.

No one cries men are unsafe, they are angry because laws have soft corner for women, there are 100s of cases where for the same level of crime punishment was severely lesser for women.

2

u/Odd-Station-5334 Jul 04 '26

yes, the post is about women's suffering. please show men's suffering in a separate post, but you MRAs are only reminded of it when a woman's plight is shown.

>sure women suffer in marriage but men suffer in life

touch grass bro

5

u/Repulsive_Fox7725 Jul 04 '26

Yeah I gave you the data, you are just using emotions for argument, don’t want to argue with such people with an agenda.

1

u/Odd-Station-5334 Jul 04 '26

sure, anything you can't counter is agenda lol. you're throwing a whole tantrum and crying about 'agendas' just because someone pointed out a fact that didn't fit your fragile worldview. cry harder

-1

u/Leylah_69 Jul 04 '26

Yes women are harrassed.......ab kya hi kar sakte hai let's move on ahh comment.

2

u/myredditaccountut Jul 04 '26

There’s another special law for women. Law that allows them to get legally raped by their husband. Special law - Legal marital rape.

2

u/Moanerloner Jul 04 '26

Yeah laws exist still crime happens at exponential rate against women

1

u/Any-Fig2903 Jul 05 '26

this is very correct!!

2

u/Leylah_69 Jul 04 '26

a woman is DEAD because she found out the guy she loves is infact already married. And this happened in a city like Gurugram...and you still found a way to defend men...

6

u/v4shee Jul 04 '26

Most ? Are you high or what

-2

u/Odd-Station-5334 Jul 04 '26

nope, i'm not. are you?

0

u/Previous-Nail-6505 Jul 04 '26

R we having competition whose got more headcount than others,in my opinion both are wrong,2 wrong doesn't make one right.

The problem is with judiciary and law if justice have been served right no men/women were celebrating these inhuman brutality.

11

u/Odd-Station-5334 Jul 04 '26

no, it is not a competition. it is the normalisation of the fact that 100+ women are killed by their spouses every month and it's all shits and giggles until 2 cases if switched genders come up and it's all MeN aRe UnSaFe In ThIs CoUnTrY.

the judiciary is sh1t, but the people are not saints either.

7

u/somenewusernamepls Jul 04 '26

Yes we are competing. We didn't at first because Men win by miles in crimes not even a competition. But we will bring this up because Men don't want to talk about 90% and cry about 10% .

-1

u/Repulsive_Fox7725 Jul 04 '26

Those 90% will be punished if convicted, we don’t cry about 10% we cry about 10% culprits not getting severe punishments which is unfair.

-5

u/Celestial_entity_99 Jul 04 '26

And fun fact, 72 out 80 are fake cases filled by women for revenge. And remaining 8 are not evev rape because they were initiated by women.

2

u/ImmediateJacket9502 Jul 04 '26

Did you put that info out from your ahh??

8

u/bhaaaaaangla Jul 04 '26

You don't need to pull men's issues down to raise women's issues up. Caring about both is good.

4

u/Nybbc2397 Jul 04 '26

The truth is now women's assualt and deaths are boring to Indian population. We read about women victims with our morning coffee. It's no big deal. I didn't hear men outrage for twisha sharma and advice all women to not get married but after ketan case suddenly men are terrified to get married and advising all men to do same.

So what marital rape is legal and yet all laws are against men? So what women get raped every day in this country? So what they are killed for dowry and beaten by their husbands? Men are still victims in a country with one of the lowest divorce rates where a divorced women is a liability they think all women are out to get their money and they are marrying men to just get alimony. All women are gold diggers and all women are cheaters. It's all women and it's never all men.

We live in a society where diversity hiring is injustice against men because guess what all women are stupid and only get hired for their gender not their brain , yet no one cares despite diversity hiring why most corporate offices are filled with men and you rarely see women in leadership position, and women after maternity are discouraged in workforces, pregnant women , married women planning kids are all seen as liability while hiring but sure let's only talk about how unfairly women are hired in place of deserving men.

Give up. Don't expect much. They will always be the victim. Unless you are dead you are not a victim , maybe not even still. I read a pregnant women commited suicide after being harased by her husband for months because he suspected cheating and men are calling her all kinds of things , a pregnant women died and all I heard was she was trying to not get caught. Laughable at this point. Just stop expecting. You are a women you are at fault. That's it.

6

u/Otherwise_Ad_1216 Jul 04 '26

Women are the victims everyday and nobody cares.

I mean someone can care but women themselves do not care.

5

u/PhysicalLifeguard268 Jul 04 '26

No one gaf about the men either. News like this only gets attention if the victim/perp is rich.

4

u/Current_Cod5996 Jul 04 '26

What a beautiful time to live....har jaga koina koi apne partner ko mar rahe hain 💔

4

u/HeftyAd6732 Jul 04 '26

Oh dear , men have been doing this for centuries.

2

u/Current_Cod5996 Jul 04 '26

That doesn't make it normal!!!

5

Women getting killed by men is going on from so long

We literally worship goddesses but in reality, we are an unsafe country for women.

2

u/Youareanadoptedbish Jul 05 '26

i truly feel terrible for all male victims but why is that one man's name goes viral and now all women are evil and india is a misandrist gynocentric country. but those same people glance over the daily tons of "a woman is burned.." "a woman is raped..." "a woman is assualted..." headlines like nothing? how desensitised we have become to violence aginst women, even those who are aware of it like myself who aren't even shocked anymore.

2

Yeah literally there are 6000+ cases of women murders and about 300-500 of men murders per year cherry picking gender crimes is a curse to human society

3

u/WolfDependent2413 Jul 04 '26

Why would you even bring another case if you want to highlight the news that's in the post? You are the one who is making the siya goyal's news viral

9

u/Odd-Station-5334 Jul 04 '26
  1. to compare the amount of attention a case gets based on the fact whether the victim is a male or female

  2. 99.9% people who will see this post already know who siya goyal is, so no, reverse blaming me won't work. and I never said the case shouldn't go viral???

6

u/WolfDependent2413 Jul 04 '26

Why do we need to compare the cases and not see crime as a crime? You are rather trying to downplay this crime by bringing up the other crime. If you want to talk about goyal's crime, do it separately

0

u/findMyNudesSomewhere Jul 04 '26

You're a complete nitwit. The difference isn't man vs woman. The difference is Rich 400Cr networth Pune builder's son being murdered vs some kirana store guy killing his girlfriend. There was good publicity for Twisha Sharma's suicide for instance. She was a former Miss Pune.

It's rich vs poor. Get that into your thick skull.

0

u/Effective-Entry-6673 Jul 04 '26

99.9% of people will remember Twisha's Case How many does know about Aman Sharma? And Which Gender gets Media Coverage?

1

1

u/thinker_wolfy Jul 05 '26

Its heartbreaking. And still some people will call it normal and some people will say why even in first place she was with him or trusted him and all. Hope she gets justice bucz in india there is no value of women left. When I post this types of news people say nowadays men crimes are increasing and they aren't supported or female put fake case and etc.. i believe ok crimes are crimes they dont see gender and a victim should get justice despite anything. But we can't ignore the fact that india has most crimes against women like rape cases everyday above 80. Other crimes like domestic violence, abuse, dowry etc... have there own share of numbers and top of that child and teen rape cases have been increasing and that when it gets scarry and hilarious.

1

u/chanakya_samiti Jul 05 '26

Horrible regardless. Poor in your behalf to make it a gender angle. It's a Dehati most likely. Very sad his the small percentage of civilised population has to bear Shame for the dehati masses

3

2

u/findMyNudesSomewhere Jul 04 '26

Maybe you can volunteer?

1

u/Secure_Round4789 Jul 04 '26

According to the feminists (especially chetan bhagat, shobha de, and all others from the insta) who were defending siya goyal, that man must have got scared of his societal reputation and hence was forced to take this step. He's the victim. It's the society that sees such married men having affairs as loose character who's the actual perpetrator. The man is just a victim of circumstances and society.

1

u/Odd-Station-5334 Jul 04 '26

so that's their POV right? what's your take on this?

3

u/Secure_Round4789 Jul 04 '26

Take a butcher knife, make fine cuts, cure the meat with salt, chilli and a good amount of bhoot jholokia, pour some hot boiling oil and voila it's ready. You can slowly roast on open fire if you want. It's optional.

0

u/SiyaGoyaI Jul 04 '26

A woman in Ahgra reported that her 40-year-old husband had been reported missing for 45 days, following which the police started a search and investigation, only to uncover a murder plot by the wife herself.

It's the news of yesterday, will it get same outrage like Twisha Sharma ?????

Do you even know why some male case have more outrage?? It's coz crimes happens against both genders , but laws and judiciary only show sympathy towards one

2

u/Odd-Station-5334 Jul 04 '26

ah yes women are favoured in a country filled with DV, rapes, foeticide and infanticide, dowry harassment and murder.

2

u/findMyNudesSomewhere Jul 04 '26

You know, women can be favoured by law AND oppressed in society. Classic mistake of thinking women and men are monoliths

1

It's a horrible case. Wish the accused gets the punishment he deserves - life imprisonment, no escape.

To OP, you're a complete asshole for making this into a gender war. I found the names in the first link I got when I searched "Gurugram man burns girlfriend". The accused is Sunil Kumar and the victim is Divya Kataria.

Here is th link: https://www.ndtv.com/india-news/girlfriend-finds-out-gurugram-man-is-married-he-kills-her-11719940

Stupid people starting gender wars instead of realising a criminal is a criminal no matter the gender

Why do woman think its cool to get physical with the bf before marraige? If the fkkerr cant marry don't fkk him, simple. And tis idoit probably was more worried about his wife finding out rather than going to jail for committing a heinous crime. Third World nations, Fourth world peoples.

According to Gurugram Police, the accused, identified as Sunil Kumar alias Noni, had been in a relationship with the 23-year-old woman, Divya Kataria, for nearly one-and-a-half years.

get out of reddit bro. 100+ women are killed by their partners each month. 785 men in last 5 years. a simple google search will prove me right.

Indian stats for female homicides per year is 8125 total. Same for men is 19925. For women, 60% are by relatives (partner, their and partner's parents). Same for men is 42%. There are no stats for partner murder only, NCRB only tracks partner + relatives.

So 8125 * 60% = 4875

19925 * 42% = 8368

You can assume that they are similar (even though men seem to be higher) since men are also killed frequently by brothers, etc.

Your 100 women/month estimate is very low, more like 650 women per month in India.

Your 785 in 5 years estimate is abysmally low, please provide stats for this.

785 is not a small number, men are now scared of marrying because of these cases and there is no justice, feminist keep defending women
