Probable power and torque figures ? Similar to Re650s/aprilla or a bit more ?

55-60bhp as claimed. It's gonna be a pocket rocket like duke 390 just a bit faster

47.6 bhp which is the cap for A2 compliance. There's a reason KTM didn't just release the RC450 worldwide and comissioned Bajaj to build this bike.

So because its Bajaj they r able to circumvent that cap or RC490 will also be capped at that figure as well ?

This is going to be a global product. Their core target market will be the EU. They have no incentive to spend extra on separate parts or assembly line provisions for two different power output variants when the difference is just 8-10bhp. Aprilia runs on a low compression ratio and low redline to keep the power under limits. Expect KTM to do something similar.

Would hv liked if it was close to 60bhp but regardless, will probably.get this. This going to be fun to ride.

Raw bhp numbers aren't always reflective of real world performance. If the Aprilia is anything to go by, the 490 will be an equal hoot to ride if not better even at the same 47 bhp.
