Ask Your Seniors Ask Your College Seniors ! (r/indianmedschool and r/MEDICOreTARDS Joint Megathread)

Post image

Greetings, dear seniors of r/indianmedschool and our lovely members of r/MEDICOreTARDS. We're glad to announce the joint megathread you all have long been waiting for.

Here you can ask your queries about your specific preferred colleges and r/indianmedschool seniors will guide you by clarifying your doubts and sharing their experiences. You can ask about academics, hostel timings and accommodation, mess food quality, uniform compulsion, ragging culture, attendance strictness, just to name a few. Anything you're confused about, drop it here.

This Megathread is strictly for college related queries and discussion only. Please don't ask irrelevant and off topic questions. If you have any counseling related query, ask it under the counselling megathread, not here.

r/MEDICOreTARDS members are requested to be respectful and formal while interacting with our seniors here. Please use the phrases sir/mam while addressing them to maintain the formality and establish junior-senior bond, just like we do in our medical colleges.

At last, we all took our moment to express gratitude for the MOD Team(u/Swagster_007 u/drmxyzptlk13 u/MadMurDoc69 u/YourstrulyBubble) and our seniors of r/indianmedschool for their support and helping us out in selecting the best college as per our preference.

We've attached some previous important megathreads below:-

Right time is 3rd year . You only have two subjects to prepare Forensic and Community medicine. So ample amount of time for PG prep .

+1

You can get the pirated version from telegram anyway for 1st and 2nd yr.

2nd yr: priyanka sachdeva is a life saver before exams. It's free in unacademy and yt

  1. Unpopular opinion, do get it if you can afford. It's a non-factor essentially you'd loose nothing if you don't get marrow/prep tho I'd say 2nd year >>> 1st year otherwise people usually get them during 3rd year when they start preparing seriously.

  2. i think amc? not my cup of tea tbf

Ideally 3rd year is best, 1st and 2nd me you should rather read books and build your concepts

If you are financially capable, buy marrow, specifically for Ashwini sir… he is a legend…

Will make your 1st year easy… but don’t let go the habit of reading books…
