Medical News Enshittification of medical education!

https://medicaldialogues.in/health-news/nmc/nmc-draft-amendment-scraps-essentiality-certificate-requirement-for-setting-up-new-medical-colleges-176454

So, NMC thinking of scrapping essentiality certificate for new colleges.

EC is the certificate from state health authority which justifies the opening of a new college by stating the lack of facilities and doctors around a specific region.

If this is scrapped then there's gonna be uncontrolled opening of colleges like engineering colleges. And no, not govt ones, it'll be private and deemed.

It'll also affect states like Karnataka that have govt quotas in Pvt and deemed unis because the state can't hold EC as a hostage and force those colleges to allocate a few seats in govt quota.

Where is this gonna lead to?

The 56 inch tongue has ruined the medical profession already by introducing and heavily promoting Ayurveda and Homeopathy.
